摘要: A crawler having a crawler pin and a crawler bush having lubrication between the crawler pin and the crawler bush without lowering the strength of the crawler at the running time, thereby to prevent the creak or seizure, as might otherwise be caused at the running time. A metallic sliding member having an excellent wear resistance can be arranged in the clearance between the crawler bush and the crawler pin. The metallic sliding member can be capable of holding lubricating oil and/or a lubricant. In addition, the clearance between the core bush and the crawler pin can be narrowed, so that the resulting structure retains the imbalance load on both the crawler bush and the crawler pin.

摘要: There is provided an inexpensive rolling element used under high interface pressure such as induction hardened gears, the rolling element being improved in the seizure resistance of its tooth flanks and having a temper hardness of HRC 50 or more at 300° C. To this end, the rolling element is made from a steel material containing at least 0.45 to 1.5 wt % C and one or more alloy elements selected from 0.1 to 0.5 wt % V and 0.3 to 1.5 wt % Cr, and has a rolling contact surface layer having a structure tempered at low temperature in which 2 to 18% by volume cementite disperses in a martensite parent phase formed by induction heating and cooling and containing 0.25 to 0.8 wt % carbon solid-dissolving therein.

摘要: The pitting resistance of a gear is increased by hardening its tooth flanks through application of carburizing/quenching, bright hardening and induction hardening to a steel material capable of providing significantly improved softening resistance in tempering at a low temperature of 300 to 350° C. To this end, the steel material prepared so as to satisfy the relationship described by: 5≦4.3×Si (wt %)+7.3×Al (wt %)+3.1×V (wt %)+1.5×Mo (wt %)+1.2×Cr (wt %)×(0.45÷C (wt %)) is carburized such that the carbon concentration of its carburized surface layer is adjusted to 0.6 to 0.9 wt %; and the steel material is subjected to quenching and tempering at 300° C. or less subsequently to the carburization process, or alternatively the steel material is once cooled after the carburization process and then subjected to treatments of re-heating hardening and tempering at 300° C. or less so that a hardness of HRC 58 or more is ensured by the tempering process at 300° C.

摘要: High surface pressure resistant steel parts and their producing methods are disclosed. These steel parts are useful as gears, cams, bearings and similar high-strength compact steel articles which are required to have wear resistance and strength to withstand fatigue in rolling or rolling-slipping applications. In a steel part formed according to the invention, a fine nitride and/or carbonitride having at least an average grain size of 0.3 &mgr;m or less is dispersed in the contact surface structure; a multi phase structure composed of martensite, which is divided into extremely fine pieces, forming a disordered shape, by the nitride and/or carbonitride, is formed; and a carbide having a grain size of 3 &mgr;m or less is dispersed to increase the hardness of the surface. Such a steel part is produced by carrying out carbonitriding or carburization/carbonitriding so as to precipitate extremely fine AIN, using nitrogen permeating from the surface and by carrying out quenching or quenching/tempering, starting from a temperature region where the parent phase is austenite

摘要: There are disclosed copper-base and/or iron-base contact materials which contain a Pb intermetallic compound dispersedly precipitated therein and which have highly improved sliding properties. Double layered contact elements improved in oil impregnation and lubricity are formed by sinter bonding the above contact materials to an iron-base metal backing, respectively. Economical producing methods for such double layered contact materials are also disclosed. In the copper-base and/or iron-base contact materials, one or more kinds of Pb intermetallic compounds are dispersedly precipitated.
