    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a wireless communication node (1) comprising at least one antenna arrangement (2, 2′, 2″). Each antenna arrangement (2, 2′, 2″) comprises at least one antenna port (3), at least two antenna elements (4a, 4b, 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b) arranged for providing an antenna beam pattern (8), and a phase control arrangement (9, 9′, 9″) arranged to receive at least one input signal (10) via said antenna port (3) and to determine a plurality of intermediate signal components (11) from said input signal (10) by determining a first set of respective phase shifts (φ1, φ2, 10 φ3, φ4; θ1, θ2, θ3, θ4, θ5, θ6, θ7, θ8) for said input signal (3). The phase control arrangement (9) is further arranged to determine a final signal component (12) for each antenna element (4a, 4b, 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b) from said intermediate signal components (12) by determining a second set of respective phase shifts (β1, β2, β3, β4: Φ1, Φ2, Φ3, Φ4, Φ5, Φ6, Φ7, Φ8) for said intermediate signal components (12), wherein the second set of phase shifts (β1, β2, β3, β4; Φ1, Φ2, Φ3, Φ4, Φ5, Φ6, Φ7, Φ8) is arranged to provide a lowered gain of the antenna arrangement (2, 2′, 2″) in at least one direction (D).     摘要: There is provided a method for shaping cells in a wireless communications network. The method is performed by a network node. The method comprises acquiring previously stored spatial channel characteristics for wireless devices (WDs), the WDs being associated with a set of radio access network nodes (RANNs), the of the WDs being measured between the at least one WD and at least two RANNs in the set of RANNs. The method comprises determining beam forming parameters for shaping cells for at least one RANN in the set of RANNs based on the acquired spatial channel characteristics such that at least a predetermined share of the WDs has a network coverage probability being higher than a predetermined threshold value. The method comprises notifying at least one of the RANNs in the set of RANNs of the determined beam forming parameters.

    摘要: A method for acquiring an indication of a preferred beam of a wireless communication device is disclosed. The method is performed in a network node of a cellular communication network. The network node is adapted to support a plurality of beams of a signal beam-forming scheme and to communicate with the wireless communication device using at least one beam of the plurality of beams. A message indicative of the beam power setting is transmitted to the wireless communication device. Measurement signals are also transmitted. A report indicative of the preferred beam is received from the wireless communication device. The preferred beam is determined by the wireless communication device based on the measurement signals and the beam power setting. Corresponding methods for the wireless communication device, as well as corresponding arrangements, network node, wireless communication device, cellular communication network, and computer program products are also disclosed.

    摘要: A method performed by a first radio node for selecting a transmission rank is provided. The radio node is capable of using at least a first antenna beam and a second antenna beam for communication with a second radio node in a wireless communication network. The radio node communicates with the second radio node by using the first antenna beam and a first transmission rank. The radio node obtains second radio parameters for the second antenna beam. The radio node then selects a second transmission rank based on the obtained second radio parameters. The second transmission rank is to be used for communication with the second radio node in the second beam. The selection of the second transmission rank is triggered before obtaining any Rank Indicator (RI) for the second antenna beam.

    摘要: A method, performed in a network node, for channel characteristics handling for an antenna array in a communication system. The antenna array has a plurality of antenna elements. The method includes obtaining geometrical relationships between any pair of antenna elements in a spatial layout of the antenna array. All pairs of antenna elements are classified into sets based on the obtained geometrical relationships, wherein all pairs of antenna elements in a set have substantially equal geometrical relationship in the spatial layout. The method includes determining a representation of channel characteristics as P(β), wherein argument β is a vector of elements, each element relating to a magnitude and/or phase of covariance between the antenna elements in the set, and P is a mapping function based on the classifying. Antenna characteristics are processed based on the representation P(β).
