摘要: A phase shifter having a chamber in flat-shaped solid state, one side of which is recessed to form a holding space, and a lower coupling circuit board, assembled into the holding space. The lower coupling surface of the lower coupling circuit board is fitted with two coupling strips arranged at interval. One end of the coupling strips is provided with a cable coupling portion. An upper coupling strip is overlapped onto the lower coupling circuit board in a U-shaped pattern. The upper coupling strip is provided with an upper coupling surface for coupling with the coupling strips of the lower coupling circuit board. A slider has a driving end and a driven end, the driving end being used to connect and drive the upper coupling strip, and the driven end protrudes out of the chamber's holding space. A cover plate is used to seal the chamber's holding space.

摘要: A fiber channel (FC) storage server includes an optical network access interface and a storage device subsystem. The optical network access interface includes a first FC access module and a first small computer system interface (SCSI) module. The storage device subsystem includes a second FC access module and a second SCSI module. When the optical network access interface receives a connection request packet from an initiator, the first FC access module generates a packet in an SCSI identification format of the storage device subsystem. Further, the storage device subsystem generates a packet in an optical network access interface identification format having a response instruction through the second FC access module and the second SCSI module, and transmits the packet to the optical network access interface to complete the response process.

摘要: The present invention provides a system for recording an image onto a label layer of an optical disc. The optical disc also includes a data layer on which a plurality of predetermined address codes is marked. The system essentially includes a multi-focal lens module for dividing a laser beam emitted by an optical pick-up unit into a first beam portion and a second beam portion. The first beam portion is focused on the data layer to locate a first position by retrieving the predetermined address codes. The second beam portion is focused on the label layer to record the image at a second position opposite to the first position.

摘要: A method, system and medium for optimally allocating investment assets for a given investor within and between annuitized assets and non-annuitized assets retrieves an investor's utility of consumption, utility of bequest, objective and subjective probabilities of survival and expected rates of return from each of a plurality of annuity and nonannuity assets having varying degrees of risk and return. Based on these inputs, an objective utility function is maximized by adjusting the asset allocation weights. The optimal asset allocation weights may be used to allocate the assets of the investor's portfolio among predetermined investment vehicles or as an analytical tool by portfolio managers.

摘要: An optical fiber system that includes an in-fiber optic component powered by in-fiber light includes an optical fiber having a core, wherein the optical fiber propagates a sensing/signal light and a power light, with the sensing/signal light being propagated in the core. An optical transducing element, such as a layer of light absorbing material, is located in proximity to the in-fiber optic component. An optical tap region is provided in the optical fiber in proximity to the optical transducing element, and enables the power light to leak from the optical fiber and be absorbed by the optical transducing element. The optical transducing element converts the absorbed power light into a second energy form, such as heat, which is used to tune the in-fiber optic component.

摘要: An automated retirement plan manager manages the assets of an employee retirement benefits plan on behalf of an employer. The plan manager executes trades on investment vehicles based on instructions from an automated independent investment advisor. The advisor calculates a human capital for each plan participant based on data derived from the employer and from the participant through an interface, and based on that human capital calculation recommends an allocation of portfolio assets to the participant. This recommendation, once presented for review by and perhaps modified by the participant, becomes an instruction to the plan manager. As the participant ages his or her human capital is recalculated, and this is used to determine whether the participant's present portfolio type should now be switched to a more conservative one.

摘要: A plasma processing apparatus includes a chamber (20) and a target (25) above the chamber (20). The surface of the target (25) contacts the processing area of the chamber (20). The chamber (20) includes an insulating sub-chamber (21) and a first conductive sub-chamber (22), which are superposed. The first conductive sub-chamber (22) is provided under the insulating sub-chamber (21). The insulating sub-chamber (21) is made of insulating material, and the first conductive sub-chamber (22) is made of metal material. A Faraday shield component (10) which is made of metal material or insulating material electroplated with conductive coatings and includes at least one slit is provided in the insulating sub-chamber (21). An inductance coil (13) surrounds the exterior of the insulating sub-chamber (21). The problem about the wafer contamination due to particles formed on the surface of the coil during the sputtering process can be solved by using the plasma processing apparatus.
