    摘要: A microscope system includes a light source and an objective unit. The objective unit includes an objective optical system, including a small-diameter distal optical system arranged at an end brought near to or into contact with a specimen, for focusing light from the light source onto the specimen; a threaded mount at a coupling position; and an outer cylinder enclosing the small-diameter distal optical system. The microscope system further includes an imaging optical system for forming an image of light from the specimen through the objective optical system and a microscope main body for housing the imaging optical system. The objective unit is detachable from and attachable to the microscope main body with the threaded mount. Conditional expression Df/Da≦0.3 is satisfied, where Df represents the outer diameter of the outer cylinder and Da represents the outer diameter of the threaded mount.

    摘要: When exchanging a dichroic mirror to detect fluorescence of a different wavelength, it is unnecessary to carry out precise positional adjustment, particularly in a compact examination apparatus, and the dichroic mirror can be easily exchanged. The invention provides a connection unit including a light-source optical fiber, removably connected to the light source, for conveying the excitation light from the light source; a collimator lens for collimating the excitation light emitted from the light-source optical fiber to introduce the excitation light to the optical scanning section; and a dichroic mirror for splitting off fluorescence, which is generated in the sample and which returns via the objective lens and the optical scanning section, from a light path of the excitation light and for directing the fluorescence to a photodetector. The light-source optical fiber, the collimator lens, and the dichroic mirror are secured to each other such that optical axes thereof are aligned.

    摘要: Fluorescence emitted from a tissue can be detected efficiently, and excitation light with a plurality of wavelengths can be simultaneously emitted to simultaneously detect fluorescence with a plurality of wavelengths. A laser-scanning fluoroscopy apparatus includes a laser light source of a plurality of wavelengths; a spectroscopic device for splitting laser beams according to wavelength; a focusing lens for focusing the split laser beams; and a wavelength-selecting reflection device which includes a plurality of reflection sections disposed near the focal positions, spaced out at predetermined intervals in a split direction to reflect the laser beams with different wavelengths and a transmission section arranged adjacent to the reflection sections. The laser-scanning fluoroscopy apparatus further includes a diffraction grating for combining the reflected laser beams; a scanning section for two-dimensionally scanning the combined laser beams; an objective optical system for focusing the scanned laser beams onto a tissue; and a photodetector for detecting fluorescence emitted from the tissue. A width dimension, as measured along the split direction, of each reflection section of the wavelength-selecting reflection device is smaller than a width dimension of the transmission section.
