Abstract:
A filter and associated valve are provided which are particularly useful for the purification of oil or fuel in an internal combustion engine. The filter includes a preassembled valve unit having a sealing member, an activating member and an interposed spring element formed without a housing. The sealing member and activating member penetrate each other along a part of their axial length, guiding each other and being displaceable relative to each other in an axial direction. The relative axial displaceability is limited by a stopper provided at the activating member and/or the sealing member. The preassembled valve unit is guided axially moveable in a drain conduit of the filter after insertion of the valve unit into the conduit.
Abstract:
A filter system is provided with a housing provided with a cover. The housing has a raw liquid inlet, a clean liquid outlet, and a liquid drain. A filter element is provided that separates a raw side from a clean side. A slide valve with a valve rod and a sealing head is provided, wherein the sealing head is arranged such that the liquid drain of the housing is closable but openable. A coupling is arranged between the sealing head and the valve rod, providing an axial securing action of the valve rod at the sealing head and a radial securing action, separate from the axial securing action, of the valve rod at the sealing head. A slide valve for such a filter system as well as a sealing head and a valve rod for such a slide valve are provided.
Abstract:
A water filtration apparatus comprises a housing having a housing outlet and a housing inlet, the housing outlet configured to allow filtered water to exit therefrom, the housing inlet includes a valve stem, where the housing has latch arms disposed adjacent to the valve stem. At least one filter is disposed in the interior portion of the housing, and the at least one filter is in fluid communication with the housing outlet and the housing inlet. A valve assembly includes a valve body releasably coupled with the valve stem, where the valve body has a faucet interface component, and the valve body configured to fluidly couple with a faucet via the faucet interface component. The valve assembly has a valve body release coupled with the valve body, and the valve body release is slidable relative to the valve body and the one or more latch arms.
Abstract:
A filter assembly includes a filter body, a removable filter cartridge, and a bypass valve with incinerable and non-incinerable portions. The bypass valve includes a valve seat and a movable valve closure element removable with the removable filter cartridge and incinerable. The bypass valve includes a return member remaining in the filter body. A method is provided for controlling bypass valve-opening threshold pressure.
Abstract:
A valve assembly that is useable with a fuel filter housing to control the flow of fuel through the fuel filter housing. The valve assembly comprises two primary parts that are connected together via a snap connection, and when the valve assembly is installed on the fuel filter housing, means on the fuel filter housing prevent disconnection of the snap connection. One or both of the primary parts of the valve assembly can be provided with a tamper evident feature that will indicate whether someone has tried to remove or disassemble the valve assembly.
Abstract:
A filtering system has a filter housing and a filter element and having a raw side and a clean side arranged in the filter housing. Liquid introduced into the filter housing flows through the filter element from the raw side to the clean side. An overflow valve is disposed between the raw side and the clean side of the filter element. The overflow valve is moved into an open position should a pressure of the liquid on the raw side of the filter element surpass a limit value. The overflow valve has an adjustable valve body loaded by a valve spring and made from plastic material. The filter element and of the filter housing structurally supplement one another such that the filter element is positioned precisely in the filter housing and relative rotation of the filter element relative to the filter housing is prevented.
Abstract:
A filter element removably located in a housing having a central valve structure. The element has an end cap with a valve actuating portion. The valve actuating portion includes a cylindrical portion and an annular base projecting radially inward from the cylindrical portion. The valve actuating portion includes a plurality of thin, flat keys spaced around the annular base and projecting radially inward from the cylindrical portion and axially outward from the base. The keys engage the valve structure in the housing when the element is installed, and open up a flow passage through the housing.

Abstract:
A valve for controlling a fluid flow, in particular for crankcase venting of an internal combustion engine, including a base body (37), a valve body (22) and a biasing means (23), the base body (37) having a valve side (45) and an opposite side (46) situated opposite the valve side (45), a part of the valve body (22) protruding through an opening (47) situated in the base body (37), the biasing means (28), in particular a compression spring, being arranged between the opposite side (46) of the base body (37) and the valve body (22) and supported against the opposite side of the base body (37).
Abstract:
In a fluid filter with a housing and a filter element replaceably located in said housing, and with a filter by pads valve having a valve body held in the housing that is movable against the action of a spring from the closed position in which it cooperates with a sealing surface, into an open position in which it permits a fluid flow to bypass the filter element. The invention proposes that the sealing surface associated with the valve body be formed by the replaceable filter element.
