There are provided a method and a facility for separating and recovering a steel pipe and a covering resin in a resin-covered steel pipe, which do not produce cuttings of the steel pipe and which make it possible to continuously operate the facility. The method comprises the steps of using a cut line forming means installed forwardly of the position that a high frequency induction coil passes, so as to form a cut line extending from the surface of the resin-covered steel pipe toward the steel pipe, deep enough to reach the surface of the steel pipe from the surface of the covering resin, throughout the length of the resin-covered steel pipe, circumferentially dividing the covering resin into at least two parts, heating the steel pipe by high frequency induction heating, in the position of a separating device disposed at a suitable position immediately after the passage of the position of the high frequency induction coil, to the extent the boundary between the covering resin and the steel pipe assumes the state for the release of the covering resin from the steel pipe, and cutting each covering resin into at least two parts along the cut line and toward the outside of the steel pipe by the separating device while releasing and separating it from the steel pipe.

A method for disassembling a discarded refrigerator that uses a foamed resin as a heat insulator according to the present invention includes the processes of cutting and separating a heat-insulating housing of a refrigerator into pieces having a predetermined size and shape; obtaining the foamed resin by passing the pieces between a pair of compression rollers arranged so as to oppose each other and compressing the pieces, thereby peeling off and separating an incompressible plate-like object layered at least on one surface of the pieces; and collecting a foaming gas by passing the foamed resin (301) between a pair of compression rollers (331, 332) arranged so as to oppose each other and compressing the foamed resin, thereby allowing the foaming gas in the foamed resin to leak out. This makes it possible to collect a foaming gas in a heat insulator while maintaining a high concentration with small equipment at low cost.

The frame has an enclosure with an entrance opening for receiving waste material. At least one drive motor is carried by the frame. The set of overlapping scissor rolls includes a first scissor roll and a second scissor roll carried within the enclosure for co-rotation and driven by the at least one drive motor, configured to draw material from beneath for delivery between the overlapping scissor rolls to subdivide the material. The recycle manifold is provided above and downstream of the scissor rolls and is configured to receive the subdivided material from between the overlapping scissor rolls. The pneumatic conveyor comprises a source of air and a pneumatic duct communicates with the recycle manifold, the pneumatic duct is configured to deliver an air stream from the source of air into the recycle manifold to entrain subdivided pieces and move the subdivided pieces from the recycle manifold for further conveying and subdividing within the comminuting apparatus.

The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for crushing and pulverizing tire chips roughly crushed to a size of 10 cm in length by completely separating to rubber components from iron components in a single crushing process. It is intended to extensively simplify the process to produce rubber powder from waste tires and to promote material recycling of the used tires. The method comprises the steps of catching the tire chips between monoaxial rotary blades 3 rotated within a casing 2 and fixed blades 4 and 4 fixed and arranged at opposed positions and maintaining a gap slightly larger than diameter of a piano wire 9 contained in the tires, rupturing only the rubber components without cutting piano wires and steel fibers, tearing and withdrawing rubber components by rotation of the rotary blade 3, and crushing while separating rubber components from iron components.

A rubber reduction and recycling system with dramatically reduced power requirements. The present invention provides a series of reduction stations which successively reduce the size of the rubber, typically in the form of tires, to eventually result in crumb rubber. The power requirements are dramatically reduced by providing a fixed cutting plate through which the teeth of the cutting apparatus pass and cut the rubber in a shearing fashion. Moreover, the teeth of the cutting apparatus pass through the fixed cutting plate at an angular disposition so that at any given point, a relatively small portion of the rubber is being cut and thereby consuming power. Finally, the power consumption is reduced by providing the teeth on rotating shafts in a plurality of series of arcuate patterns. Therefore, at any given time, only a relatively small number of teeth in each series cut at the same time and thereby require power.
