Abstract:
An improved position control apparatus is disclosed to control a motor-driven door operator to halt movement of a door at an open position and a closed position. The position control apparatus includes a control screw means in the form of a threaded shaft extension of the motor shaft or a threaded rod coupled to the motor shaft which is rotated when the motor is energized. A travel nut is threadedly engaged with the control screw means and is constrained against rotational motion so as to reciprocate along the control screw means. Position detection means, such as switches, are disposed near the control screw means for actuation by the travel nut to control the motor as the door approaches the open position and the closed position. In another embodiment, a toggle switch is mounted on the travel nut, and the switches are replaced by stops for actuation of the toggle switch to control the motor. An improved obstruction detector apparatus is also provided to control the motor if an obstruction is encountered as the door moves between the open position and the closed position. The obstruction detector apparatus includes a safety switch which is actuable by rotation of the motor casing due to reaction torque, if an obstruction is encountered as the door moves in one direction, and a lever that is actuable by rotation of the motor casing, if an obstruction is encountered as the door moves in an opposite direction, to actuate the safety switch.
Abstract:
A storage lock for a storage door, the lock comprising a lock housing for mounting to the storage door or a storage frame supporting the door; and a lock mechanism arranged within the lock housing, the lock mechanism comprising a latch selectively operable between a locked position in which the latch is extended to engage with the other of the storage door and storage frame to block against opening of the storage door, and an unlocked position in which the latch is retracted to disengage from the other of the storage door and storage frame to allow the storage door to be opened for access to storage, and a latch control system selectively operable between a restricted position to block against operation of the latch out from the locked position, and an unrestricted position to permit operation of the latch out from the locked position to the unlocked position.
Abstract:
The guiding device serves for holding and guiding a sliding door, with which a furniture opening of a piece of furniture can be closed. The guiding device comprises a guide fitting that is connectable to the sliding door and that is connected via a first articulated joint to a first end piece of a guide lever, whose second end piece is connected via a second articulated joint to a guide carriage, which comprises a carriage body that holds at least one guide roller, which is guided in a guide channel that extends at least on one side in a terminal channel section along a curve into the furniture opening.
Abstract:
A device and method that relate to restoring function and operation to a malfunctioning or inoperable hinges by attaching a flexible resilient material to the malfunctioning or inoperable hinge when the function and/or operation of a partially broken hinge pin spring and/or the function and/or operation of a partially broken hinge interlocking leaf or leaves cause the hinge to malfunction when the hinge is used to connect an out-swinging closure to a fixed structure.
Abstract:
An electric vehicle (1) has a charging flap (10) articulated on a support structure by way of a four-bar linkage arrangement (14) so that the charging flap (10) can be moved between a closed position (FIG. 3A) and an open position (FIG. 3F). To simplify the actuation of the charging flap, the mechanism for actuating the charging flap (10) has a push-push element (20) combined with a spring device (15) that is assigned to the four-bar linkage arrangement (14).
Abstract:
A pop-up mechanism of a door for a vehicle includes a first member configured to be supported at a vehicle body and to transmit a force to a door for a vehicle, a second member configured to store an external force applied to the second member and to transmit the force that is stored to the first member, and a trigger member releasing the force stored by the second member, the first member opening the door for the vehicle based on the force stored by the second member in a case where the trigger member releases the force stored by the second member.
Abstract:
In an aspect, a lifter plate is provided that is capable of a relatively strong connection to a vehicle window. The lifter plate includes a lifter plate body including a first side wall and a second side wall configured to receive a vehicle window there between, a window holding member positionable in a locking position to prevent the withdrawal of the vehicle window from between the first and second side walls, and a locking member positioned to prevent the movement of the window holding member out of the locking position in the event of a force urging the withdrawal of the vehicle window from between first and second side walls.
Abstract:
The present invention essentially comprises an overhead door backup spring system for providing an auxiliary spring counterweight to operate an overhead door shaft upon failure of a spring. The system has an activation unit, a control assembly, an engagement assembly operably associated with the activation unit, and an auxiliary spring engagement assembly operably associated with the control and engagement assemblies. The control assembly has an engagement block engageable with a spring post of the auxiliary spring assembly. The engagement assembly has an engagement post engageable with the spring post to transfer torque from the auxiliary spring to the overhead door shaft. An engaged position has the engagement post not engaged with the spring posts while the engagement block is engaged with the spring post. A non-engaged position has the engagement post engaged with the spring post, and the engagement block not engaged with the spring post.
Abstract:
An aperture closure arrangement 10a has an aperture closure 12a formed from a plurality of panels 39 hinged together at generally horizontal axes. Each panel 39 has a runner 16a fixed near its upper edge and constrained to run in a track 31. The track 31a, 31b, 31c defines the path of the runners 16a, as the aperture closure 12a opens and closes, and therefore defines the movement of the panels 39. An elongate flexible member 22a in the form of a cable or chain is connected to the aperture closure 12a at an attachment point 24a. The elongate flexible member 22a is also connected to a drive arrangement (not shown) operable to pull open the aperture closure 12a. Guide members 30, 32 define the path of the elongate flexible member 22a between the attachment point 24a and the drive arrangement (not shown). At least one of the guide members 30 is a deflection member sufficiently close to the track 31c to allow the attachment point 24a to pass the deflection member 30 beyond the deflection member 30 when viewed from the said path, as the aperture closure 12a closes and opens, thereby threading and unthreading the elongate flexible member 22a from the deflection member 30.
