    摘要： Method and apparatus for making a plastic bag or pouch wherein a plastic web is moved in a longitudinal direction and a tape made from an elongated plastic film is fed to the web. The tape is made of a pair of elongated attachment lanes of complementary fastening elements sealed to the film to function as attachable-detachable closures. The lanes extend parallel and are spaced apart. A perforation line is formed in the film between lanes, and a flange is defined on one side of only one of said lanes. The lanes are separated and pairs of lengths are cut off said lanes. The pairs of cut off lengths are sealed on a diagonal to the moving web in different directions to form V-shaped closures with the lane having the flange on one side thereof sealed to the web by the flange only. Bags are formed from the moving web. An intermediate product is described consisting of a narrow substrate having V-shaped closures spaced longitudinally for placement on a moving web in a bag making machine.

Prior to the formation of the bags, plates are introduced between the sheets. The plates are mounted so that they can separate from one another to open the bags after the bags have been fully formed, so that the material can be introduced into the bags. Instead of plates, the elements for opening the bags can be wires, suction elements or blowers.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for making bag-type packages from strip web material in which a lead end portion of strip web material is formed around a forward end portion of a mandrel and the sleeve is advanced with the mandrel during at least a portion of the forward stroke of the mandrel. A sleeve opening device on the lead end of the mandrel is extended through the end of the sleeve to open the sleeve and the mandrel is retracted and transversely sealed and severed at a location inwardly of its open end to form a bag. A turret is provided for gripping the open end of the bag at a bag loading station and transferring the bag with its open end up sequentially to a bag filling station and to a top closing and sealing station.

    摘要： The invention relates to a shrink film packaging method by which articles intended for shipment by common carrier or to be sent through the mail may be wrapped so as to be protected from the usual and normal effects of handling. Articles to be wrapped are loaded onto a cardboard or plastic tray which is placed between the folds of two layers of material. The inner layer of material surrounding the tray and articles thereon is a special cushioning material which comprises closely spaced air bubbles formed by two sheets of polyethylene with air pockets formed therebetween. The outer layer of material is a shrink film and a sealer is utilized to form sealed edges around the tray and articles to form a package. The excess wrapping material is trimmed simultaneously as it is being sealed and the package is directed to a heat tunnel where the heat causes shrinkage of the outer shrink film which in turn causes the air in at least some of the bubbles of the inner material to be compressed to a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure.

The bags are adhered on at least one side with two distinct adhesive bands. The inner band is a thermoplastic adhesive which allows a measure of ''''peelability and shock absorbability'''', whereas the outer adhesive band is a high strength thermo-setting adhesive. The contained product may even be cooked within the bag.
