摘要: Certain configurations are described herein of a thermoplastic sheet or article comprising a plurality of porous layers coupled to each other. In one configuration, the thermoplastic article may comprise a core layer, a first layer disposed on one surface of the core layer and a second layer disposed on another surface of the core layer. In some instances, each of the core layer, the first layer and the second layer may comprises a web of open celled structures formed by a plurality of reinforcing materials bonded together with a thermoplastic material and optionally may also include a lofting agent. The lofting capacity in different layers can be selected or tuned to provide desired properties.

摘要: A method for producing an inorganic silica gel fiber or aerogel fiber, comprising the following steps: a) extrusion of a gel, in particular a hydrogel or alcogel, by means of a spinneret directly into a coagulation bath to form at least one filament, b) stretching of the filament in the coagulation bath, c) regeneration of the filament by extraction from the coagulation bath, and d) supercritical drying or freeze drying in order to convert the filament into a silica fiber, in particular an aerogel fiber.

摘要: A mounting mat for an exhaust gas treatment device includes a wet laid sheet of polycrystalline inorganic fibers that have been physically entangled while the wet laid sheet is still in a wet condition. The exhaust gas treatment device includes a housing, a fragile catalyst support structure resiliently mounted within the housing, and the mounting mat disposed in a gap between the housing and the fragile structure. Additionally disclosed are methods of making a mounting mat for an exhaust gas treatment device and for making an exhaust gas treatment device incorporating the mounting mat.

摘要: Provided is a method of producing a structure for producing a casting, including: a process (I) of obtaining a slurry composition containing an organic fiber, an inorganic fiber, a thermosetting resin, and water; a process (II) of obtaining a fiber laminate by subjecting the slurry composition to papermaking; and a process (III) of dehydrating the fiber laminate and thereafter drying the resultant, in which the process (I) includes a process (I-1) of beating a mixture containing the organic fiber and water, a process (I-2) of mixing the mixture obtained in the process (I-1) and water, and a process (I-3) of mixing the mixture obtained in the process (I-2) and the inorganic fiber, the thermosetting resin is mixed in at least any of the process (I-1), the process (I-2), and the process (I-3), and an average fiber length of the inorganic fiber in the structure for producing a casting is 1 mm or longer and 5 mm or shorter.

摘要: A process to manufacture a paper derived from minerals includes the steps of preparing a mineral preparation that includes 50% to 70% of total dry weight of rocks that have been crushed and ground into a powdery substance; combining the mineral preparation with a sodium silicate solution of total dry weight of 30% to 50%; and adding additives having a weight of 2% to 5% of a total dry weight. The powdery substance may have granules of about 0.05 mm to 0.08 mm in diameter and can be mixed with vitamin powder. The igneous rocks can be selected from the set of: dolostone, basalt, granite, gabbro, andesite, diorite, obsidian, pegmatite, peridotite, pumice, rylolite, and scoria. Sedimentary rocks can be selected from the set of: limestone, sandstone, conglomerate, shale, siltstone, brecca, gypsum, chert, travertine, flint, iron ore, rock salt, and oil shale.

摘要: A fiber is manufactured from thermosetting binder compounds by fiberizing an aqueous dispersion of thermoset compounds having a high solids content of at least 35%, 40% or 50% solids and/or a high viscosity of at least about 30 cps, 50 cps or 100 cps at room temperature. The fibers may be rotary fiberized or otherwise extruded. They may be co-fiberized with base fibers, including other polymeric fibers and/or inorganic fibers like glass fibers, or they may be intermingled post fabrication by other means, such as fluid dispersion processes or carding. The thermoset fibers are useful for binding together base fibers in fibrous products like glass fiber insulation.

Polymer fibers and PVA resin are blended in water, thus forming second solution. The first solution is mixed with the second solution. A wet paper-making machine is used to make mineral fiber paper from the mixture.
