    Abstract: Provided is a component arrangement, including a carrier substrates; a spacer which is arranged on the carrier substrate so as to surround an installation space and has an outlet opening on a side facing away from the carrier substrate; an optical component arranged in the installation space; a contact connection which electrically conductively connects the optical component to external contacts arranged outside the installation space; a cover substrate which is arranged on the spacer and with which the outlet opening is covered in a light-permeable manner; and a light-reflecting surface which is formed on an anisotropically etched silicon component and is arranged in the installation space as an inclined surface at an angle of approx. 45° relative to the surface of the carrier substrate facing the installation space, in such a way that light radiated in a horizontal direction onto the light-reflecting surface can be radiated out in the vertical direction through the opening and the cover substrate, and vice versa.

    Abstract: Laser diode packages include a rigid thermally conductive base member that includes a base member surface situated to support at least one laser diode assembly, at least one electrode standoff secured to the base member surface that has at least one electrical lead having a first end and a second end with the first end secured to a lead surface of the electrode standoff, and a lid member that includes a lid portion and a plurality of side portions extending from the lid portion and situated to be secured to the base member so as to define sides of the laser diode package, wherein at least one of the side portions includes a lead aperture situated to receive the second end of the secured electrical lead that is insertable through the lead aperture so that the lid member extends over the base member to enclose the laser diode package.

    Abstract: A pigtailed diode laser module is configured with a case housing a plurality of multimode chips which are arranged in at least one row and output respective beams in one direction. Each output beam is collimated in upstream fast and downstream slow axes collimators which are spaced from one another in the one direction. The collimated output beams are incident on respective mirrors redirecting the incident output beams in another direction which is transverse to the one direction. Propagating further one above another, the output beams constitute a combined beam which diverges in the slow axis while propagating towards at least one lens which focuses the combined beam in the slow axis in the focal plane thereof. The output fiber is mounted to the case such that its core end is located coplanar with the smallest cross-section of the focused combined beam spaced downstream from the focal plane at a predetermined distance.

    Abstract: A light emitting device includes an edge emitting laser chip and a reflecting mirror. The edge emitting laser chip has light emitting ports arranged in parallel in a first direction. The light emitting ports emit light beams in a second direction. The reflecting mirror includes a reflecting surface used to reflect the light beams to a third direction. The first, second and third direction are perpendicular to each other. The light beams are emitted to the reflecting surface through the virtual incident plane and project first light spots on the reflecting surface. Each projected light spot has a first axis length in the first direction and a third axis length in the third direction. An interval between two immediately-adjacent light emitting ports is greater than the first axis length of one of the two projected light spots aligned with the two immediately-adjacent light emitting ports.

    Abstract: A package structure for the multi-channel parallel transmission optical device includes a package base, a package cap which is used to form a package shell with the package base, and a plurality of laser generating units that are all mounted on the package base and arranged annularly relative to the axis of the package base. Each laser generating unit is equipped with an optical mirror group to convert the laser emitted by the laser generating unit into the laser beam parallel to the axis of the package base. A converging lens is also configured inside or outside the package shell, or the package cap uses the converging lens as an optical window, and to converge each laser beam into output beam. The optical path design can significantly reduce the device package volume, which correspondingly increases the channel density.

    Abstract: A device for laser projection comprises a first laser diode configured to emit a first linearly polarized laser beam extending along a first polarization axis and a second laser diode configured to emit a second linearly polarized laser beam extending along a second polarization axis that is perpendicular to the first polarization axis. A polarization combiner is configured to combine the first and second linearly polarizing laser beams into a combined laser beam, wherein the combined laser beam comprises one of: (1) circular polarization; and (2) elliptical polarization. A measuring device is configured to measure an intensity of the combined laser beam. A control unit is configured to receive the measured intensity of the combined laser beam and is further configured to adjust an intensity of at least one of: (1) the first laser diode; and (2) the second laser diode.
