An article of apparel is disclosed that includes a textile with at least one property that changes upon exposure to a physical stimulus. The textile has a modifiable structure formed from one or more yarns that exhibit a dimensional transformation upon exposure to the physical stimulus. The yarns have a first set of dimensions when unexposed to the physical stimulus, and the yarns have a second set of dimensions when exposed to the physical stimulus. The structure of the textile is modified by exposing the textile to the physical stimulus such that the yarns transform from the first set of dimensions to the second set of dimensions and change the property of the textile. Reinforcing structures, incisions, partial incisions, and coatings may also be utilized to enhance the textile structures

An article of apparel is disclosed that includes zones with a textile having a structure that changes or is otherwise modified by a physical stimulus, such as the presence of water or a temperature change, to modify a property of the textile. The zones may be along a center back area and side areas of the apparel, and the textile may increase in air permeability when exposed to water. The zones may also be in an upper area of the torso and in a lower back area, and the textile may increase in texture when exposed to water. In some embodiments, slits are formed in the textile.

A releasable fastening system comprises a loop portion comprising a loop material, a hook portion comprising a plurality of hook elements, and an actuation device disposed in electrical communication with the loop portion and the hook portion. The actuation device is operable to provide electrostatic charges to the loop material and the hook elements. A method of operating a releasable fastening system comprises contacting a loop portion to a hook portion to form a releasable engagement wherein the loop portion comprises a first electrically conductive sheet and a loop material disposed at the first electrically conductive sheet and wherein the hook portion comprises a second electrically conductive sheet and a hook element disposed at the second electrically conductive sheet, maintaining constant shear and pull forces between the loop and hook portions, and introducing electrostatic charges of opposite polarities to the loop and hook portions to enhance the engagement of the hook and loop portions and of similar polarities to weaken the engagement of the hook and loop portions.

The bracelet (1) is formed of several juxtaposed links (2) made of rigid material and a flexible core (3) onto which the links are threaded. The flexible core (3) is formed over a part of its length of flexible elements (4) removably assembled one after the other. Each flexible element comprises on two opposite sides a first assembling portion (7) and a second assembling portion (6) complementary to the first assembling portion. The elements can be assembled one after the other by fitting the first and second assembling portions together to form a flexible strip. The links (2) are positioned on the flexible core to hold the flexible elements in their assembled position.

Methods and apparatus for electrosurgically treating human skin. The skin may be treated by applying thermal energy to the dermis to shrink the skin following liposuction, or to induce collagen deposition at the site of a wrinkle for wrinkle reduction or removal. In another embodiment, a method involves electrosurgically removing or modifying tissue in the head or neck to provide a face-lift or a neck-lift. In one embodiment, the working end of an electrosurgical instrument is positioned in at least close proximity to the dermis by approaching the dermis from the underside (reverse side) of the skin.

A catheter for ablating tissue is provided. The catheter comprises an elongated generally-tubular catheter body having proximal and distal ends and at least one lumen extending therethrough. A non-retractable ablation assembly is attached to the distal end of the catheter body. The ablation assembly comprises proximal and distal non-conductive tubings, each having a lumen extending therethrough and a generally tubular electrode mounted between the proximal and distal non-conductive tubings. The tubular electrode is formed of a material having shape-memory and has at least one irrigation port through which fluid can pass from the inside to the outside of the electrode. The ablation assembly further comprises a non-conductive protective tubing extending generally parallel to and along the outside of the tubular electrode. The protective tubing has proximal and distal ends extending into the proximal and distal non-conductive tubings, respectively. The catheter further comprises at least one of an electrode lead wire and a temperature sensor wire, and preferably both, extending through the non-conductive protective tubing and catheter body, the electrode lead wire having a distal end mounted to a ring electrode mounted on the distal non-conductive tubing, and the temperature sensor wire having a distal end mounted on or under the distal non-conductive tubing. The catheter also comprises an infusion tube extending through the catheter body and having a distal end in fluid communication with the proximal end of the tubular electrode.

An ablation catheter employing one or more manifold arrangements to convey a conductive fluid medium to a target tissue. The manifold includes at least one inlet port in fluid communication with a fluid supply lumen running along at least a portion of the catheter. The inlet port or ports are in fluid communication with a larger outlet port. The outlet ports provide an outlet for the fluid to flow out of the catheter and against the target tissue. As such, the combination of at least the inlet port with the outlet port provides a flow path for fluid within the fluid lumen to flow through the manifold and to outside of the catheter. An electrode is arranged in the flow path of fluid within or adjacent the manifolds. As such, fluid may be energized and conduct ablation energy to the target tissue to ablate the tissue.

Because the transparent body is detachable and re-attachable, it is easily possible to use a plurality of transparent bodies on one accessory. Also, it is possible to use the accessory in a wide variety of situations according to time, place and occasion. Further, providing a family crest, engraved mark, trade mark, illustration and/or the like on the accessory not only embellishes the effect of the accessory, but also makes the accessory more distinctive.
