Abstract: A feature server determines a hierarchical network topology for identifying presence information of communication endpoints. The hierarchical network topology comprises at least a first level and an endpoint level. The feature server queries a communication device at the first level to determine if the communication device at the first level is reachable via one or more routes. In response to determining that the communication device at the first level is not reachable via any of the one or more routes, the feature server forbears from querying one or more communication endpoints associated with the communication device at the first level for the presence information. In response to determining that the communication device at the first level is now reachable via the one or more routes, the feature server queries the one or more communication endpoints associated with the communication device at the first level for the presence information.

Abstract: Embodiments include providing reliable Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) signaling for Web Real Time Communications (WebRTC) interactive flows, and related methods, systems, and computer-readable media. In one embodiment, a method for providing reliable SIP signaling for WebRTC interactive flows comprises establishing, via a stateless SIP user agent executing on a first web server, a WebRTC interactive flow between a WebRTC client executing on a computing device and a remote endpoint. The method further comprises receiving, by the WebRTC client, a call state from the stateless SIP user agent, the call state indicating a current state of the WebRTC interactive flow. The method also comprises storing, by the WebRTC client, the call state. In this manner, the call state of the WebRTC interactive flow may be accessible for restoring the WebRTC interactive flow in the event of an unexpected termination of the WebRTC client and/or the stateless SIP user agent.

The trigger command identifies a communication received for a recipient from a sender. Schedule information is accessed. The schedule information is related to the recipient of the received communication. A plurality of options is presented to the sender. The plurality of options are for arranging a future communication between the sender and the recipient, and include at least one option determined based on the accessed schedule information. A selection of an option for arranging a future communication is received. The selected option is executed to arrange the future communication.

Abstract: A fingerprint is received from a communication endpoint. The fingerprint is based on a hardware identifier of the communication endpoint. For example the fingerprint may be based on a Media Access Control (MAC) address of the communication endpoint. A request for an emergency call from the communication endpoint is received that also includes the fingerprint. For instance, a user may initiate a 911 call from the communication endpoint. The emergency call is established. After the emergency call is disconnected, a request for an emergency call back is received. For example, if the emergency call prematurely disconnected, the emergency call back is initiated. The request for the emergency call back is routed to the communication endpoint based on the fingerprint to ensure that the emergency call is properly completed.

Abstract: An Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) process receives a first Internet Protocol (IP) address that is associated with a Media Access Control (MAC) address of a communication endpoint. A first Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) INVITE for an emergency call request is received from the communication endpoint. The ARP process receives a second IP address that is associated with the MAC address of the communication endpoint. A second SIP INVITE is received that is a request for an emergency call back. The second SIP INVITE is routed to the communication endpoint based on the second IP address associated with the MAC address of the communication endpoint to reestablish the emergency call with the communication endpoint.

Abstract: A security event that is associated with one or more communication devices is detected. For example, the security event may be an unexpected change in data being sent from a communication device outside an enterprise. In response to detecting the security event, a Virtual Service Network (VSN) is created that isolates one or more communication devices that may pose a security risk. A corrective action to mitigate the security event is then implemented. For example, the corrective action may be to dynamically instantiate a firewall on the VSN that blocks the transfer of data from the communication device outside the enterprise. This allows an administrator to review the security event and take further action if necessary. Because the VSN with the firewall is created dynamically, the network remains secure while the security event is investigated.

Abstract: A request to subscribe to QoS information is received from a monitoring element. A monitoring element may be a centralized communication system, such as a Private Branch Exchange (PBX). The QoS information is from a plurality of network elements at a plurality of locations. A network element may be, for example, a communication endpoint, a router, a media server, and/or the like. The QoS information is based on a location map that includes information for the plurality of locations. The plurality of locations are controlled by separate communication systems. A determination is made whether a threshold for the QoS information has been reached. If the threshold for the QoS information has reach reached, a notification is sent to the monitoring element. Upon receiving the notification, the monitoring element can cause an action to occur to address a QoS problem.
