    Abstract: A process for preparing an oxidic material comprising a zeolitic material having framework type AEI and a framework structure comprising a tetravalent element Y, a trivalent element X, and O, the process comprising preparing a synthesis mixture comprising water, a source of Y, a source of X comprising sodium, an AEI framework structure directing agent, and a source of sodium other than the source of X; and heating the synthesis mixture obtained from (i) to a temperature in the range of from 100 to 180° C. and keeping the synthesis mixture under autogenous pres-sure at a temperature in this range for a time in the range of at least 6 h, obtaining the oxidic material comprising a zeolitic material having framework type AEI and a framework structure comprising a tetravalent element Y, a trivalent element X, and O, comprised in its mother liquor; wherein the AEI framework structure directing agent according to (i) comprises a N, N-diethyl-2,6-dimethylpiperidinium cation.

    Abstract: A process for preparing methanol from a carbon-containing feedstock by producing synthesis gas therefrom in a synthesis gas production unit, converting the synthesis gas to methanol in a methanol synthesis unit and working up the reaction mixture obtained stepwise to isolate the methanol, wherein the carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, dimethyl ether and methane components of value from the streams separated off in the isolation of the methanol are combusted with an oxygenous gas, and the carbon dioxide in the resultant flue gas is separated off in a carbon dioxide recovery unit and recycled to the synthesis gas production unit and/or to the methanol synthesis unit.

    Abstract: A lubricant composition for a compression-ignition internal combustion engine includes an amine and a detergent selected from metal sulfonates, phenates, salicylates, carboxylates, thiophosphonates, and combinations thereof. The lubricant composition has a TBN of from about 10 to about 100 mg KOH/g when tested according to ASTM D2896. The amine contributes from about 0.1 to about 28% of the TBN of the lubricant composition. Further, a method of lubricating an internal combustion engine with the lubricant composition includes the steps of injecting a fuel and the lubricant composition into a cylinder to form a mixture, and combusting the mixture via compression-ignition.

    Abstract: A process for preparing a porous material involves at least the steps of providing a mixture (I) containing a composition (A), which contains components suitable to from an organic gel, and a solvent (B); reacting the components in the composition (A) in the presence of the solvent (B) to form a gel; and drying of the gel. The composition (A) contains a catalyst system (CS), which contains at least a catalyst component (C1) selected from ammonium salts and phosphonium salts, and an acid with a phosphor containing acid group as a catalyst component (C2). Porous materials can be obtained in this way and the porous materials can be used as thermal insulation material and in vacuum insulation panels and vacuum insulation systems, in particular in interior or exterior thermal insulation systems as well as for insulation of refrigerators and freezers and in water tank or ice maker insulation systems.

    Abstract: Described herein is a process of producing an organic compound, the process including: I) cultivating a genetically modified microorganism in a culture medium including sucrose as an assimilable carbon source to allow the genetically modified microorganism to produce the organic compound, and II) recovering the organic compound from the fermentation broth obtained in process step I) The genetically modified microorganism includes A) at least one genetic modification that leads to an increased activity of the enzyme encoded by the rbsK-gene, compared to the original microorganism that has not been genetically modified, and the original microorganism belongs to the family Pasteurellaceae. Also described herein are a genetically modified microorganism and the use thereof for the fermentative production of an organic compound from sucrose as an assimilable carbon source.
