Abstract: A memory request initiates access to a memory location in the memory. The memory location is evaluated to determine whether the memory location is located within a first portion of the memory or within a second portion of the memory. In response to determining that the memory location is located within the first portion and that the memory request is a read request, the memory location located within the first portion is accessed. In response to determining that the memory request is a write request and the memory location is located within the first portion, the memory location located within the first portion and a duplicate of the memory location is accessed. When the memory location is located within the second portion, the memory location located within the second portion using a redundant array of independent disks (RAID) memory mechanism, in response to the memory request being the write request.

Abstract: Copolymers comprising cellulose and starch connected by at least one cross-linker, methods of producing the copolymers, and formed articles comprising the copolymers are described herein. The copolymers may be biodegradable and may have improved physical properties when compared to the homopolymers and other biodegradable polymers. In some embodiments, the copolymer may be more flexible than unmodified cellulose may have better structural integrity than unmodified starch.

Abstract: Technologies are generally described for a distributed system to provide wireless energy sharing between electrically powered vehicles. In some examples, two or more vehicles traveling on a roadway may be configured to share energy while in route to a destination. The vehicles may be equipped with wireless energy transfer units to enable the vehicles to exchange energy. At least one of the vehicles may be a mobile electric charging station configured to store a large amount of charge and to provide charge to vehicles. The electric charging station may be in communication with a controller, where the controller may be configured to identify vehicles in need of recharge and to identify at least one vehicle having sufficient charge to share. The controller may schedule a time and place for the two vehicles to meet in order to share charge. Additionally, the vehicles may be self-coordinated without a controller.

Abstract: In at least some examples, a control center, which provides remote driving assistance service, may be configured to receive traffic data from sensors and to identify an area of congested traffic, based on the received traffic data, within a predetermined range of the sensors. When the control center receives a request for the remote driving assistance service, from a vehicle within the predetermined range of the sensor, the control center may generate and transmit remote driving commands to the vehicle.

Abstract: Technologies are described herein for optimizing resource utilization in a collection of devices having hierarchical network layers. Some example technologies may identify packets exchanged between processes executed on collections of server computers. The hierarchical network layers may couple the collections of server computers. The technologies may determine virtual machine groups based on the identified packets. Each of the virtual machine groups may identify one or more virtual machines configured on the collections of server computers to execute one or more processes. The virtual machine groups may be configured to increase data traffic in a lower layer in the hierarchical network layers and to decrease the data traffic in a higher layer in the hierarchical network layers. The technologies may relocate the virtual machines between the collections of server computers according to the virtual machine groups.
