Abstract:
A process for the photochemical stabilization of polyamide fiber material or mixtures thereof with other fiber materials which comprises treating the fiber material with a mixture of (A) a water-soluble copper complex dye or a mixture of copper complex compounds, at least one component being a water-soluble copper complex dye, (B) a light stabilizer and if desired (C) an antioxidant, an agent for carrying out the process and the fiber material treated therewith are described.
Abstract:
A process is described for improving the photochemical stability of dyeings on polyester fibre materials by means of UV absorbers of the formula ##STR1## in which R is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halogen or hydroxyl, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 independently of one another alkyl which is substituted by hydroxyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkylthio, amino, monoalkylamino or dialkylamino, phenyl, phenyl which is substituted by chlorine, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, or o-hydroxyphenyl, and n is 0, 1 or 2.
Abstract:
The invention relates to novel zinc and aluminium phthalocyanine compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein MePc is the zinc or aluminium phthalocyanine ring system, M is hydrogen or a salt-forming cation, P.sub.1 is hydrogen or a group of the formula --NH--CN or NH--SO.sub.2 R.sub.3 or the salts thereof, wherein R.sub.3 is alkyl, aryl or a heterocyclic ring system, R.sub.2 is a neutral, non-solubilizing substituent, n is 1 to 4 and each of m and q is 0 to 3 and p is 0 to 4. These compounds are prepared by starting from the corresponding sulfohalides. The novel compounds are used as photoactivators, especially for bleaching and removing stains from textiles and for combating microorganisms in or on organic or inorganic substrates. The invention also relates to bleaching, detergent and soaking and microbicidal compositions which contain the novel phthalocyanine compounds.
Abstract:
An embroidery attachment for a sewing machine having electronic controls influencing the stitch forming instrumentalities. The attachment work holding frame is shifted by operative connections with the stitch forming instrumentalities. Alternative constructions are disclosed utilizing electronically controlled sewing machine needle bar and feed dog movements to drive the embroidery attachment.
