Abstract:
A liquid filter having a housing with a removable screw lid and an interchangeable filter unit, the housing having a discharge channel, wherein a closure valve which when installed is fixed to the housing, is axially adjustable between a closed position when the filter unit is installed and the lid is closed, and an open position when the lid is detached and the filter unit is removed, and wherein releasable coupling elements are provided between the lid or filter unit and the valve. The coupling elements engage to transmit torque and tensile forces, by rotation in the loosening direction of the lid, for as long as a seal of the valve which exerts a braking moment on the valve is located in the sealing seat. The coupling elements disengage when the seal has departed from the sealing seat and the valve is thereby freely rotatable about its longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
An internal combustion engine having an intake air duct with a compressor, a throttle valve, and a crankcase ventilation device with a ventilation duct connected to a crankcase with a crankcase pressure regulating valve, the ventilation duct divided into a first ventilation duct branch connected to the intake air duct upstream from the compressor, and a second ventilation duct branch connected to the intake air duct downstream from the throttle valve. A pressure difference between the pressure in the crankcase or in the ventilation duct upstream from the crankcase pressure regulating valve on the one hand and the pressure in the ventilation duct downstream from the crankcase pressure regulating valve on the other hand is measured by, for example, a sensor, and an evaluation unit evaluates for a correct or incorrect functioning of the crankcase ventilation device and a corresponding item of information can be outputted.
Abstract:
A filter cartridge configured to be removably inserted into a space of a filter housing that has a housing socket and a housing cover with a sealing surface facing inwards. The filter cartridge has a filter element forming a fluid channel with a longitudinal axis, a front end, and a rear end, as well as a connector element with a peripheral surface that provides for an increased filter area, if the peripheral surface includes a first ring surface and a second ring surface (which are plain bearing surfaces) and if a gasket is movably supported in a first axial position on the first ring surface, thereby enabling a translation of the gasket in a first direction to a second axial position onto the second ring surface.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the continuous treatment of multiphase fluid flows, in particular during the operation of fuel cells, comprising the following steps: a) providing a multiphase fluid flow comprising a gas phase and a liquid phase, wherein the gas phase comprises a carrier substance and a process substance, wherein the liquid phase comprises the process substance, b) introducing the multiphase fluid flow into a continuously operable rotating separator, c) at least partially separating the liquid phase from the multiphase fluid flow by means of the rotating separator to produce a treated fluid flow comprising a treated gas phase, wherein the treated gas phase comprises the carrier substance and the process substance, wherein the quantitative proportion of the process substance in the treated gas phase is 50% or more of the quantitative proportion of the process substance in the gas phase of the multiphase fluid flow.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a recovery system (10) for recovering a recirculation flow that exits a fuel cell (102) and contains hydrogen, said recovery system comprising an active centrifugal separator (16, 26) designed to separate liquid water from the recirculation flow.
Abstract:
A microplastic filter (also referred herein as fluid filter) for a washing machine has a filter housing, a first filter screen, a second filter screen, an inlet opening 16, and an outlet opening. The inlet and outlet openings communicate with each other through the first filter screen to define a direction of fluid flow. The first filter chamber has a retentate outlet, is particularly easy to handle if the second filter screen is arranged in a cavity of the filter housing, the inlet and outlet openings communicate with each other through the second filter screen, and the retentate outlet is arranged on a side of the second filter screen that faces the fluid flow.
Abstract:
A gas management apparatus and a method for conditioning anode gas of a fuel cell. The apparatus comprises a fluid tank and a water separator that is fluidically connected thereto, a drainage valve being arranged in the upper area and/or above the top side of the fluid tank. During proper operation, gases and liquids, in particular water, are drawn off via said one drainage valve.
Abstract:
A filter cartridge can prevent a filter housing cover from becoming unintentionally loose, if the filter cartridge includes a wedge element configured to be forced by the fluid pressure into a gap between the filter cartridge and the housing cover.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filter insert for insertion into a filter housing of a fluid filter, comprising a filter material, which is designed to be flowed through by a fluid to be filtered during operation of the fluid filter from a raw side to a pure side of the fluid filter, and to a floatable radio module, which is designed to float on a water quantity located in a water collection area of the fluid filter during operation of the fluid filter.
Abstract:
A rotor of a centrifugal separator, including a central shaft, a plurality of identical discs arranged in a stack on the central shaft, the central shaft having on an outer circumference an engagement contour for a rotationally fixed, axially slidable engagement with a corresponding contour on an inner circumference of the discs, the engagement and corresponding contours engageable with one another in multiple rotational positions at a circumferential distance from one another, and each disc having spacing elements situated at a disc circumferential distance from one another, which spacing elements hold each two adjacent discs at an axial distance from one another, forming an intermediate flow gap having a gap dimension. The spacing elements are formed and configured such that, via different rotational positions relative to one another of adjacent discs, at least two different axial dimensions of the flow gap between adjacent discs may be set.
