A battery pack, and a method of controlling the battery pack are disclosed. The battery pack detects consumption current when a load is not turned on, and shuts off power when a load is turned off or in stand-by mode, thereby preventing consumption current of the load from flowing.

Provided is a signal generation device used for an information input method using an ultrasonic signal. Contact electrodes which are formed in a flexible printed circuit board to be in contact with an ultrasonic wave generation unit and reference signal generation units are disposed in a row, so that a length of the flexible printed circuit board can be reduced. Accordingly, in comparison with a signal generation module in the related art, a length of the signal generation module can be reduced, so that the signal generation device can be miniaturized. In addition, in order to maintain the contact between contact electrodes of the flexible printed circuit board and the ultrasonic wave generation unit, the contact electrodes which are in contact with the ultrasonic wave generation unit and the flexible printed circuit board are surrounded by a contact maintaining member which is constructed with a cylindrical elastic member.

Provided is a method of generating a driving signal for driving a dual mode supply modulator for a power amplifier. The method includes obtaining an envelope of a complex baseband signal to be transmitted, comparing the envelope of the complex signal with a preset threshold value, when a current envelope of the complex signal is the preset threshold value or greater or when there is a result having the preset threshold value or greater in previous N comparisons, outputting a digital board output signal configured with a first logic level through a digital-to-analog converter; and when the current envelope of the complex signal is smaller than the preset threshold value and when there is no result having the preset threshold value or greater in the previous N comparisons, outputting a digital board output signal configured with a second logic level through the digital-to-analog converter.

A liquid crystal display panel includes a touch sensor and the touch sensor includes a plurality of x-axis read-out lines, a plurality of y-axis read-out lines crossing the x-axis read-out lines, a plurality of sensor units provided in a plurality of regions defined by the x-axis read-out lines and the y-axis read-out lines. Each sensor unit comprises a reset unit that outputs a sampling voltage based on a reset voltage, a capacitance detector that generates a modified sampling voltage from the sampling voltage based on a variation of a cell gap of the display panel caused by a touch of the display panel, a first output unit that changes an electric potential of a corresponding x-axis read-out line in response to the modified sampling voltage and a second output unit that changes an electric potential of a corresponding y-axis read-out line in response to the modified sampling voltage.

An X-ray imaging apparatus and a method of updating a pixel map correct a bad pixel of an X-ray transmission image. An X-ray transmission image is generated by detecting an X-ray penetrating an object, and it is determined whether a difference between a value of each one of the pixels forming the X-ray transmission image and a value of a nearby pixel adjacent to the each one of the pixels is equal to or greater than a reference value. A pixel having a value representing a difference equal to or greater than the reference value is determined as a candidate for a bad pixel. A message is displayed which requests a selection of whether to determine if the candidate is a bad pixel. The pixel map is updated by reflecting the determined bad pixel on the pixel map.

A heating unit and a method of fabricating the heating unit are provided. The heating unit includes a heating member provided in a tube, with an outer surface of the heating member spaced apart from an inner surface of the tube. The heating member may be connected to an external power source by a metal piece, rod, and a connecting unit sequentially coupled to the heating member. The heating member, connecting unit and rod provide a stable positioning of the heating member in the tube during thermal expansion of the heating member, thus preventing contact therebetween.
