Abstract:
A spring (10), for a locking device of a vehicle seat, is designed as a yoke spring defining an axis (A) and made of a spring wire. A cross section diameter (q) has one leg (10a) on each of both ends of the spring wire. The two legs (10a) can pivot relative to each other in a circumferential direction of the axis (A), thereby transitioning the spring (10) from a relaxed state into a tensioned state. At least one first winding (10b) is provided between the legs (10a) that is wound completely around the axis (A) and having a winding diameter (di) in the relaxed state. At least one adjacent second winding (10b) is provided between the legs (10a) and disposed offset along by the axis (A) by a pitch (h), wherein the second winding (10b) may optionally be wound not fully about the axis (A). The second winding (10b) has a winding diameter (d2) in the relaxed state. The pitch (h) is less than the cross section diameter (q).
Abstract:
An implant for reconstructing meniscus defects or partial meniscus defects includes an elevated molding with a femoral condylar contact area, a tibial condylar contact area and an articular capsule contact area, in the manner of an artificial meniscus or artificial partial meniscus with a contour of an outer area that is substantially the same as a natural meniscus or partial meniscus, wherein at least one additional elevation is formed on the outer area of the elevated molding.
Abstract:
An actuating device (50) is provided for a vehicle seat, in particular for a motor vehicle seat. The actuating device includes a holder (51), a manually drivable actuating handle (52), a shaft (53) mounted rotatably in the holder (51), which is connected to the actuating handle (52) and may be driven thereby, and an output (55) connected fixedly in terms of rotation to the shaft (53). The shaft (53) may also be driven by a motor (59). The motor (59) and the shaft (53) are able to be coupled to one another and decoupled from one another by means of a wrap spring (57).
Abstract:
A ceramic pressure measurement cell for use in a sensor for static and/or dynamic monitoring of the pressure of a liquid or flowable medium which includes a base body and a membrane connected to the base body such that one side of the membrane is in contact with the medium to be monitored. The pressure measurement cell has high chemical resistance and high temperature resistance for a plurality of chemicals which is achieved by applying at least one plastic film on the side of the membrane in contact with the medium.
Abstract:
A coated article is provided with a low-emissivity (low-E) layer stack for use in a window unit or the like. The layer stack, or coating, may permit the coated article to achieve one or more of a fairly low solar factor (SF) value, a high selectivity (Tvis/SF) value, substantially neutral color at normal and/or off-axis viewing angles, and/or low emissivity. When high selectivity values are achieved, there is provided a high ratio of visible transmission to SF, which is a desirable feature in certain example instances. In certain example embodiments, a sub-oxide layer (e.g., NiCrOx) may be used as a contact layer under an infrared (IR) reflecting layer in order to permit low SF values, high selectivity, and good coloration to be achieved.
Abstract:
A thermoplastic molding composition that contains a light-resistant aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer is disclosed. The composition which largely contains of thermoplastic polyurethanes with high molecular weights and small amounts of thermoplastic polyurethanes with low molecular weights is useful for the preparation of a variety of articles and for use as sinterable composition in powder form.
Abstract:
In an instrumentation for the production of fixing surfaces for fixing a knee joint endoprosthesis to the femoral condyle that is adjacent to the knee, and to the tibial head, provision is made for a rotary milling head, which is fixable in relation to the longitudinal axis of the femur and tibia, respectively, by fastening means and which, in relation to this longitudinal axis, is angularly adjustable in a stable stop position by being pivoted, defining milling planes, and which is displaceable in the set milling plane, covering same and working as a face milling cutter or as a cylindrical milling cutter.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to coating compositions comprising a mixture of at least two aqueous, anionic polyurethane polyurea dispersions A and B, wherein dispersion A as a dry film has a TG in the range from −30° C., to −45° and dispersion B as a dry film has a first TG in the range from −30° C. to −45° C. and a second TG in the range from +45° C. to +60° C., and the mixture of A and B as a dry film has only one TG in the range from −30° C. to −45° C.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hand-lever control for motor and sport boats with a hand lever having a handle and guided in at least one function plane for controlling the engine. In order to facilitate maneuvering for the pilot, the hand lever or its handle is pivotal about the axis of the hand lever in two directions against a spring force and at least one sensor detecting this rotation is provided whose output controls a steering system.
Abstract:
A variable-pitch boat propeller has a hub rotatable about a hub axis, a plurality of vanes rotatable on the hub and extending generally radially of the hub axis, and an adjustment element rotatable on the hub about the hub axis and connected to the vanes for pivoting the vanes on the hub. An adjustment knob is pivotal on the hub about the hub axis and interengaging formations on the knob and hub limit angular displacement of the knob on the hub between a pair of end positions so that a limited range of adjustment of the vanes is possible with the knob. The interengaging formations include an axially open groove having a pair of ends constituting abutments and an axially projecting screw head and rotationally fixed relative to the hub and received in the groove. The groove is formed in the knob and the screw head is carried on a yoke rotationally coupled to the hub. The groove is arcuate, centered on the hub axis, and has an arc length of substantially less than 360°.
