    摘要: An apparatus and method for performing Uplink (UL) communication by a Relay Station (RS) in a wireless communication system are provided. The RS receives a Transmit/receive Transition Gap (TTG) and a Receive/transmit Transition Gap (RTG) of a Base Station (BS) during a network entry process of the RS, receives, from the BS, an idle time R_IdleTime between frames used in the RS, and determines a structure of a UL frame. In the alternative, the RS determines a time interval Tad or an idle time R_IdleTime according to a predetermined scheme, and transmits the Tad or the R_IdleTime to the BS. The proposed apparatus and method reduce an overhead of a frame structure when the RS transitions from a transmission mode to a reception mode or from a reception mode to a transmission mode, the frame structure being for frames of the BS and it adjacent RS, thereby reducing interference.

The method includes identifying a signal delay time with an upper node. A transmission/reception operation transition time is determined through a negotiation with the upper node. An idle time is identified. An overhead caused by a transmission/reception operation transition is determined with consideration of a start time point of an Uplink (UL) subframe dependent on the signal delay time, the transmission/reception operation transition time, and the idle time. And communication is performed considering the overhead. The start time point of the UL subframe is set earlier than a start time point of a UL subframe of the upper node in consideration of the idle time.

The method includes generating a codeword vector by encoding an information vector by using a first parity check matrix of Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes, generating a transmission vector by processing the codeword vector, and transmitting the transmission vector. When the first parity check matrix includes a plurality of square matrix columns, each square matrix includes a size of L×L, the first parity check matrix is one of p parity check matrixes stored in the signal transmission apparatus, the p parity check matrixes support different numbers of information vector square matrix columns, and each of the numbers of information vector square matrix columns indicates the number of square matrix columns corresponding to the information vector from among the plurality of square matrix columns. The first parity check matrix is a parity check matrix supporting the number of information vector square matrix columns determined by using the length of the information vector and the value L from the p parity check matrixes, and the value L is determined by using p and the length of the information vector.
