Abstract:
The present invention relates to a turbocharger compressor diffuser loading plate that is in contact with a vaned diffuser and that is in communication with the compressor volute. The diffuser loading plate is pressure loaded so that it moves axially in response to pressure thereby maintaining an effective seal of the open side of the vaned diffuser. The present invention minimizes a loss in compressor performance caused by movement of the compressor housing.
Abstract:
A turbocharger includes a compressor housing and a turbine housing wherein at least one of the compressor housing and the turbine housing includes an anti-ballistic material such as, for example, aramid fibers, S glass fibers and/or carbon fibers. A turbocharger system optionally includes a temperature controller that controls temperature in instances where operational temperatures may be detrimental to the performance characteristics of anti-ballistic material. Various other exemplary devices, methods, systems, etc., are also disclosed.

A power manager is configured to manage power for a battery-powered application. A power source, a load and a battery are interconnected through a circuit path. Power from the power source is provided to the load and battery by a switching regulator. Various implementations are presented.
Abstract:
A memory circuit for use in a data processing circuit is described, in which memory cells have at least two states, each state being determined by both a first voltage level corresponding to a first supply line and a second voltage level corresponding to a second supply line. The memory circuit comprises a readable state in which information stored in a memory cell is readable and an unreadable state in which information stored in said memory cell is reliably retained but unreadable. Changing the first voltage level but keeping the second voltage level substantially constant effects a transition between the readable state and the unreadable state. In use, the static power consumption of the memory cell in the unreadable state is less than static power consumption of the memory cell in the readable state.
Abstract:
A unified web-based voice messaging system provides voice application control between a web browser and an application server via an hypertext transport protocol (HTTP) connection on an Internet Protocol (IP) network. The application server, configured for executing a voice application defined by XML documents, selects an XML document for execution of a corresponding voice application operation based on a determined presence of a user-specific XML document that specifies the corresponding voice application operation. The application server, upon receiving a voice application operation request from a browser serving a user, determines whether a personalized, user specific XML document exists for the user and for the corresponding voice application operation. If the application server determines the presence of the personalized XML document for a user-specific execution of the corresponding voice application operation, the application server dynamically generates a personalized HTML page having media content and control tags for personalized execution of the voice application operation; however if the application server determines an absence of the personalized XML document for the user-specific execution of the corresponding voice application operation, the application server dynamically generates a generic HTML page for generic execution of the voice application operation. Hence, a user can personalize any number of voice application operations, enabling a web-based voice application to be completely customized or merely partially customized.

Abstract:
A system for performing image reconstruction in a multi-threaded computing environment includes one or more central processing units executing a plurality of k-space components and a plurality of graphic processing units executing a reconstruction component. The k-space components executing on the central processing units include a k-space sample data component operating in a first thread and configured to receive k-space sample data from a first file interface; a k-space sample coordinate data component operating in a second thread and configured to receive k-space sample coordinate data from a second file interface; and a k-space sample weight data component operating in a third thread and configured to retrieve k-space sample weight data from a third file interface. The reconstruction component is configured to receive one or more k-space input data buffers comprising the k-space sample data, the k-space sample coordinate data, and the k-space sample weight data from the one or more central processing units, and reconstruct an image based on the input data buffers using an iterative reconstruction algorithm.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprises a first transducer support configured to receive a first transducer in a first opening. A face of the first face of the transducer is located in a first plane. The apparatus also comprises a second transducer support configured to receive a second transducer in a second opening. A face of the second transducer is located in a second plane substantially parallel to the first plane.
Abstract:
A method of making shape-adaptable and spectral-selective distributed optical radiation sources, in the wavelength range between UV and mid-infrared, for therapeutic treatment using passive host medium containing nanocrystals is disclosed. The spectral output of the distributed optical radiation source is controlled by the nanocrystal size distribution that determines the spectral output of fluorescence radiation originating from these nanocrystals from within the said host medium, which contains the said nanocrystals, under excitation by an external source. The size of nanocrystals, or the size distribution of nanocrystals, incorporated in the host medium is selected based on the radiation spectral output required for therapeutic requirements. The passive host medium, incorporating the said nanocrystals, is made of adaptable, geometrically configurable, material that conforms to any desired shape.
