    摘要: A cementing composition useful in cementing oil, gas and water wells, comprising water, hydraulic cement and an effective amount of water soluble fluid loss additive comprised of a blend of a copolymer (i) of acrylamide/vinyl imidazole in a weight percent ratio of from about 95:5 to 5:95, said copolymer (i) having a molecular weight range of from about 100,000 to 3,000,000, and a copolymer (ii) of vinyl pyrrolidone and the sodium salt of vinyl sulfonate in a weight percent ratio of 80:20 to 20:80, said copolymer (ii) having a molecular weight range of from about 100,000 to 3,000,000. The blend is comprised of a weight percent ratio of copolymer (i) to copolymer (ii) in the range of 20:80 to 80:20. The composition can also optionally include a dispersant such as sodium or potassium salts or a sulfonated naphthalene formaldehyde condensate.

    摘要: Graft copolymers obtainable by free radical-initiated copolymerization of(A) a monomer mixture comprising(a) a monoethylenically unsaturated C.sub.4 - to C.sub.8 -dicarboxylic acid, or an anhydride, alkali metal salt or ammonium salt thereof,(b) a monoethylenically unsaturated C.sub.3 - to C.sub.10 -carboxylic acid, or an alkali metal salt or ammonium salt thereof,(c) if desired another monoethylenically unsaturated monomer which can be copolymerized with monomer (a) and (b), and(d) a monomer containing two or more ethylenically unsaturated, non-conjugated double bonds in the molecule, in the presence of(B) a monosaccharide, oligosaccharide, polysaccharide, oxidatively, hydrolytically or enzymatically degraded polysaccharide, oxidized, hydrolytically or enzymatically degraded polysaccharide, or chemically modified monosaccharide, oligosaccharide or polysaccharide,in the weight ratio (A):(B) of (95 to 20):(5 to 80), a process for the preparation of the graft copolymers, and detergents and cleaners containing the graft copolymers in amounts of from 0.1 to 20% by weight, are described.

    摘要: Finely divided, gel-like, water-swellable copolymers are prepared by copolymerizing(a) 100 parts by weight of water-soluble, monoethylenically unsaturated monomers,(b) from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of monomers containing two or more ethylenically unsaturated double bonds and(c) from 0 to 20 parts by weight of water-insoluble, monoethylenically unsaturated monomersin 20-80% strength by weight aqueous solution in the presence of a polymerization initiator and from 0.1 to 10% by weight, based on the monomers used in the copolymerization, of a surfactant, by a process in which the monomers are copolymerized in the presence of initially from 0 to 50% by weight of the amount of surfactant to a conversion of not less than 60%, the remaining amount of surfactant is then added to the reaction mixture and the copolymerization is completed and the resulting gel particles dried.
