摘要: In a case where a CPU provided in an information distribution center has received, from a navigation apparatus, vehicle information together with a request command for requesting traffic information such as current traffic information, the CPU sets a road category that serves as a distribution target of the traffic information, based on one of a distance and a required travel time from a vehicle position to a destination. The CPU then extracts the traffic information that corresponds to the set road category and distributes it to the navigation apparatus.

摘要: Navigation apparatuses, methods, and programs store path information for a path each time the path is traveled, the path being a segment of the guidance route from a branch point to a junction. The apparatuses, methods, and programs store detour route information for the detour route each time the detour route is traveled. The apparatuses, methods, and programs receive current traffic conditions from an external system and read out, when arriving at the branch point, path information having a same or similar stored traffic condition as a current path traffic condition and detour route information having a same or similar stored traffic condition as a current detour route traffic condition. The apparatuses, methods, and programs determine a difference between a required time for traveling along the path and a required time for traveling along the detour route and output guidance information based on the determined difference.

摘要: Traffic situation determination systems, methods, and programs acquire a current position of the vehicle based on a radio signal received from a GPS satellite and determine a first travel path of the vehicle based on the acquired position of the vehicle. The systems, methods, and programs determine whether a road on which the vehicle is traveling has a traffic jam. If the road on which the vehicle is traveling has a traffic jam, the systems, methods and programs transmit first information relating to the first travel path from the vehicle to an information center. The systems, methods, and programs receive second information relating to a second travel path of the vehicle, the second information being received from a mobile phone communication center and being based on a mobile phone signal received by the mobile phone communication center. The systems, methods, and programs determine a road corresponding to the first travel path as having a traffic jam and determine a road corresponding to the second travel path, and not corresponding to the first travel path, as having no traffic jam.

摘要: Systems, methods, and programs obtain probe information, the probe information comprising an average speed of probe cars traveling on each of a plurality of links in a predetermined area. The systems, methods, and programs detect, for each of the plurality of links, a first degree of a traffic jam corresponding to the link for each of a plurality of different thresholds by comparing the average speed with each of the thresholds. The systems, methods, and programs obtain traffic-jam information concerning the plurality of links, the obtained traffic information comprising a second degree of the traffic jam corresponding to each of the plurality of links. The systems, methods, and programs compare, for each of the plurality of links, the second degree of the traffic jam with the first degree of the traffic jam for each of the thresholds. The systems, methods, and programs select, for the predetermined area, a threshold from the plurality of thresholds for which the first degree of the traffic jam most matches the second degree of the traffic jam and utilize the selected threshold to determine a severity of the traffic jam for each of the plurality of links.

摘要: An abutment block for mounting between ends of a brake pad and a caliper housing is formed as a monolithic structure to prevent relative movement between the block and the caliper housing. The abutment block has a front face directed toward the end of the associated brake pad, and the front face has a recess formed therein. The recess has a mounting hole extending therethough, with the mounting hole being at an acute angle to the front face. The abutment block is received in a recess in the caliper housing, and is securely fastened to the caliper housing by a fastener.

摘要: A wearing article is provided on at least one of front and rear waist covering regions with an indication element adapted to be visually recognized from the outside of the article. The waist covering region provided with the indication element includes a first composite sheet, a second composite sheet lying inside this first composite sheet and the indication element interposed between these two composite sheets. The first composite sheet comprises a first intermediate layer, a first outer layer and a first inner layer while the second composite sheet includes a second intermediate layer, a second outer layer and a second inner layer. The respective layers of the first composite sheet are joined together at joining spots arranged intermittently in a waist-surrounding direction. The first outer layer, the first inner layer, the second outer layer and the second inner layer are respectively formed from inelastic threads describing curves which are stretchable in the waist-surrounding direction between each pair of adjacent joining spots.

摘要: A communication cable having a communication wire and an armor including at least two synthetic resin layers, and protects the communication wire in a loose state. The communication wire protecting tube includes at least two synthetic resin layers, and inserts the communication wire in a loose state. The most hard resin layer of the armor has a crosswise or spiral annular groove or cut portion continuous in the longitudinal direction to reach the radially inner face, and the outermost layer of the armor is formed of a protective layer made of a softer resin than the hard resin layer. The adjoining edge portions of the annular groove or the cut portion come, when the communication wire is to be bent, into contact with each other so that it may be prevented from being bent to a predetermined or smaller bend radius.

摘要: A traffic information transmitting apparatus, method, and program store accumulated traffic information including past traffic information and estimate traffic information at a time when a vehicle passes through a predetermined link based on the accumulated traffic information. The apparatus, method, and program determine whether the estimated traffic information is substantially different from traffic information stored in the vehicle. The apparatus, method, and program transmit, when the estimated traffic information and the traffic information stored in the vehicle are substantially different, the substantially different estimated traffic information to the vehicle.
