摘要: An image display medium capable of providing an image display with less change in the image density, with less change in the uniformness of the density and at stable density contrast even after repetitive rewriting over a long period of time, and an image forming apparatus using the image display medium are provided. The image display medium and image forming apparatus have a pair of facing substrates, at least two kinds of particles sealed in a space between the pair of the substrates in which the at least two kinds of particles have a characteristic that at least one kind of them is positively chargeable and at least one other kind of them is negatively chargeable, and the particles chargeable positively and negatively are of colors different from each other and a charge controller is internally added to one or both of the particles chargeable positively and negatively.

The image display medium contains a first substrate transmitting light, a second substrate provided to face the first substrate, first and second particles having different colors filled between the first substrate and the second substrate, the first and second particles each contain mother particles and fine particles attached on a surface of the mother particles, the first particles are charged positively, and the second particles are charged negatively.

摘要: An image display medium that can maintain stable display characteristics without dew condensing on a display substrate surface or on particles in almost all environments in which the image display medium is presumed to be used, even if there are changes in the environment external to the image display medium. In a closed gap formed between a display substrate having an electrode and a back substrate disposed opposite to the display substrate and having an electrode, plural kinds of particle groups differing in color and charge characteristics and movable between the substrates by an electric field are sealed. The gap is given a proper amount of water vapor so that dew does not condense within a predetermined temperature range. Thus, favorable and stable display characteristics can be obtained.

摘要: An image display medium provided with a pair of substrates both of which are substantially transparent, and a gas enclosed in space defined between them. Each of the pair of the substrates is provided with transparent electrodes (ITO). The space defined between the substrates encloses two types of particle groups having colors different from one another, have a negative charge polarity, and have different adhesiveness from each other with respect to the substrates. A white particle group having a positive polarity is further enclosed in the space. A voltage is applied to the electrodes 28 and 30 so as to apply an electric field determined in response to the types of particles to be transferred. Thus, a plurality of colors are selectively developed via the particle groups enclosed in the space for displaying different colors.

摘要: An image writing/display device has a voltage applying section, a pressure applying section, an initialization controlling section, and an image writing controlling section. In a state in which a display medium having a pair of electrodes and a display layer that is sandwiched between the pair of electrodes and whose reflectance is changed is positioned, the voltage applying section applies voltage to the pair of electrodes for changing the reflectance of the display layer. The pressure applying section applies pressure for changing the reflectance of the display layer. The initialization controlling section makes the display layer a uniform reflectance by applying pressure to the display layer with the pressure applying section. The image writing controlling section writes an image by applying data voltage from the voltage applying section to specific regions, that correspond to image data, of the display layer between the pair of electrodes.

摘要: An oil filter unit comprising a housing (4) and a filter element (14) accommodated therein is fitted to an engine (1) via a bracket (3) having a cylindrical holder (5). The housing (4) is secured to the holder (5) by screwing a male screw (19) on its outer circumference to a female screw (17) formed in the inner circumference of the holder (5). A first cut-out (24) is formed across the female screw (17) and a second cut-out (23) is formed across the male screw (19). When these cut-outs (24, 23) meet together, they form a drain passage which drains the oil in the housing (4) to outside. With this construction, the oil in the housing is drained via a predetermined path and prevented from scattering around, when the filter unit is removed from the engine (1).

摘要: A semiconductor apparatus is provided that includes a radiator for efficiently radiating heat generated in a wiring layer used in a surge current path of an electrostatic discharge protection circuit, and also for protecting the wiring layer itself used as the surge current path. The semiconductor apparatus includes an input protection circuit coupled to a wiring provided between an external terminal and an internal circuit, the input protection circuit includes a protection element for protecting the internal circuit from an excessive electrostatic surge input supplied to the external terminal. The semiconductor apparatus further includes a first metal wiring layer coupled to the input protection circuit and included in a current path for the surge electrostatic surge input, and a radiator including a sufficient thermal conductivity material coupled to the first metal wiring layer.
