摘要: A set of characteristics is received in response to a questionnaire. Using the characteristics, various tasks are identified as requiring or not requiring user input because of the applicability to the customer. An associated task owner is determined for a subset of tasks. In response to receiving a selection of a selectable dependency indication associated with a first task, displaying task dependency data associated with the first task is displayed, the task dependency data including a set of tasks on which the first task depends for completion, a set of tasks that depend on the first task for completion, and for each of these dependent tasks, an associated task owner and a task status. A task list that indicates tasks needing to be completed is presented to the user. Software is installed according to the task list.

摘要: In various embodiments, techniques for communicating and visualizing dependencies between a large number of flows are provided. One or more user interfaces can be generated that enable users to interact with information needed to complete each tasks in an ordered or unordered listing of tasks. In some aspects, elements of these user interfaces can including functionality enabling users to interact with each tasks, navigate to information needed to complete each task. In another aspect, one or more styles of presenting information is provided that facilitates navigation to dependency information for each task in a more useful manner. In further aspects, elements of these user interfaces can visually communicate the above functionality and dependency information as well as additional information about each tasks, such as status information, ownership information, or providing an audit trail.

摘要: An apparatus comprises a number of sub-systems and a control interface operably coupled to sub-systems for routeing data therebetween. A strobe generation function is operably coupled to the control interface and configured to generate a plurality of different strobe signals to differentiate between different intended receiving devices. Thus, different strobe signals may be multiplexed onto a single control interface link, based on a pulse width or voltage magnitude characteristics of the respective strobe signals. A strobe decoder function is operably coupled to the control interface and configured to decode a plurality of different strobe signals to differentiate between triggering sub-systems on receiving devices.

摘要: The “Smart Tool” includes a “Smart Tool Probe” and two processing modules. The Smart Tool Probe is a hand held, wired or wireless, device that a surgeon utilizes for interrogating and identifying a tissue site, such as the entrance to a pedicle. The processing units, an Electro-Optical Control (EOC) Module and a CDS Module, provide control and display capabilities enabling real-time tissue site (such as vertebra bone) interrogation. The Smart Tool Probe utilizes a system of optical fibers that carry the interrogating optical signal sent by the light source(s) and the reflected optical signal back to the optical receivers. The light source(s) and light receivers are located in the EOC Module. The data received from the EOC Module are processed and converted into an image which is displayed on the screen in real-time. The software installed on the machine allows the surgeon to adjust/enhance the image properties to suit the selected requirements. This mode of operation provides interactive image sharpening (to adjust image sharpness), threshold control (to adjust image contrast), segmentation (to delineate the density map in the image), and image calculus (to pin-point the center of a particular region in the image).

摘要: A microfluidic fluid flow system (100) is disclosed having a fluid chamber or channel (150) with inlet and outlet ports (104, 106), allowing the fluid channel to be filled with a fluid. One or more flow obstructions or perturbances, such as cylinders (152), are provided in the channel. An oscillatory boundary condition is applied, for example, with a piezoelectric driver (130), that is selected to induce a conservative, low-intensity steady streaming flow in the channel. The low-intensity streaming flow produces distinct eddies that can be utilized, for example, for fluid-dynamically trapping or retaining particles (90) such as cells (92) at well defined locations in the channel. The system may be used to trap and study individual cells or for concentrating or filtering particles in a fluid.
