摘要: A processor is configured to acquire a first and a second radiation image which are acquired by imaging a subject including a bone part and a soft part with radiation having different energy distributions, perform weighting subtraction on the first radiation image and the second radiation image to derive a bone part image representing a bone tissue of the subject and a soft part image representing a soft tissue of the subject, derive a bone mineral density for each pixel in a target bone region of the subject from the bone part image, acquire a pixel value for each pixel of a corresponding region, which corresponds to the target bone region, in the soft part image, and derive a fracture probability of a target bone from the bone mineral density for each pixel in the target bone region and the pixel value for each pixel in the corresponding region.

摘要: Various systems and methods are provided for surgical and interventional planning, support, post-operative follow-up, and functional recovery tracking. In general, a patient can be tracked throughout medical treatment including through initial onset of symptoms, diagnosis, non-surgical treatment, surgical treatment, and recovery from the surgical treatment. In one embodiment, a patient and one or more medical professionals involved with treating the patient can electronically access a comprehensive treatment planning, support, and review system. The system can provide recommendations regarding diagnosis, non-surgical treatment, surgical treatment, and recovery from the surgical treatment based on data gathered from the patient and the medical professional(s). The system can manage the tracking of multiple patients, thereby allowing for data comparison between similar aspects of medical treatments and for learning over time through continual data gathering, analysis, and assimilation to decision-making algorithms.

摘要: A device for assessing the solidity of a material comprising an ancillary tool (2) having an end (2B) in the form of a point or blade, an impactor (4) for striking the ancillary tool (2), a sensor (12) and a processing unit (30). The ancillary tool (2) is placed between a material (8) and the impactor (4) and transmits the impact force generated by the impactor (4) to the material (8). The sensor (12) is capable of measuring a quantity from among the impact force and the deformation of the impactor, and of supplying a measurement signal. The processing unit (30) is suitable for calculating, from the measurement signal, an indicator representative of the solidity of the material (8). The indicator corresponds to the duration of a time window between the first peak (P1) of maximum amplitude of the measurement signal and the second peak of maximum amplitude (P2).

摘要: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for performing real-time analysis of bone tissue during a surgical procedure are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the method includes receiving at least one measurement of at least one tissue sample from a hybrid multi-wavelength photoacoustic measurements (MWPM) component. The method can also include identifying one or more reference cases, from a plurality of reference cases, based on correlations between the at least one measurement and previous measurements in each of the plurality of reference cases. Once the reference cases are identified, the method can include determining at least one bone condition of the patient and sending the at least one determined bone condition to a computing device accessible by a surgeon. In some embodiments, the method also includes creating a three-dimensional (3D) map the tissue sample using the at least one measurement and sending the 3D map to the computing device.

摘要: This device and platform seeks to provide a point-of-care diagnostic tool to assess tissue quality. The handheld probe that interfaces with the tissue will have multiple components including fibers that deliver laser light, fibers that detect spectra, fibers that transmit acoustic signals and fibers that conduct force displacement data electronically. The light is generated from a laser light source within the detection console. This console also houses the spectroscopic detector arrays, IR, Raman & others. In addition, if force transduction and/or elasticity is being assessed, the detecting capability to quantify this is also housed in this box. Further components include the ability to provide computation and correlative diagnostic results. Some of these data may be stored in a web-based data storage capability with the ability to utilize large databases of histology images.

摘要: A sensing assemblage for capturing a transit time, phase, or frequency of energy waves propagating through a medium is disclosed to measure a parameter of the muscular-skeletal system. The sensing assemblage comprises a transducer and a waveguide. The transducer is coupled to the waveguide at a first location. A reflective surface can be coupled to the waveguide at a second location. The reflective surface is configured to reflect energy waves away from the reflective surface. An interface material that is transmissive to acoustic energy waves can be placed between the transducer and a waveguide to improve transfer.
