摘要: There are provided a liquid crystal drive method, a liquid crystal display system and a liquid crystal drive control device, which can realize low power consumption at an alternating current drive of a liquid crystal panel. A common voltage given to a common electrode of a liquid crystal is switched between a positive phase and a negative phase. Display data is converted in such a manner that first display data and second display data selecting two of a plurality of gradation voltages in which magnitudes of potential differences in the pixel electrodes in the positive phase and the negative phase with reference to the common voltage corresponding to display data in a display memory are the same are in the same bit pattern except for one specified bit. For example, bit allocation of positive and negative gradation display data is made in such a manner that low-order bits other than the highest order bit are symmetric up and down in binary with respect to the middle.

摘要: A passenger-seat airbag (32) includes a pair of left and right airbags (44, 46), and a root portion (48) that is connected to both of the left and right airbags (44, 46). When the passenger-seat airbag (32) is provided in a vehicle, an airbag folded portion (62) that forms the left and right airbags (44, 46) is positioned closer to the rear of the vehicle than the root portion (48) is, and a slack portion (49) that forms the root portion (48) is made upright along the airbag folded portion (62), and is positioned closer to the front of the vehicle than the airbag folded portion (62) is. Thus, the slack portion (49) is expanded and deployed toward a windshield earlier to form “a wall”. Then, the left and right airbags (44, 46) are stably deployed toward a passenger seat (toward the rear of the vehicle).

摘要: A motor comprises: coil on/off switching devices for switching between an on-state wherein current is supplied to the coils, and a first off-state wherein the coil terminals are open-circuited or a second off-state wherein the coil terminals are short-circuited; and a coil current control device for controlling switching operations of the coil on/off switching devices according to commands input to the motor. In the event that motor movement with great mechanical compliance is required, the ratio of the period of the first off-state is increased, and on the other hand, in the event that motor movement with great viscosity resistance is required, the ratio of the period of the second off-state is increased. This solves the problems of torque loss and cogging during a period wherein no current is applied to the coil.

摘要: In an external force detecting device including a support section and an action section disposed inside the support section, three optical displacement sensors are provided at an equiangular distance of 120 degrees about the rotational symmetry axis of the support section and each include a light source disposed at either the support section or the action section, and a light receiving element disposed at one section of the support section and the action section, the one section not provided with the light source, and the action section is located between the light source and the light receiving element. The external force detecting device described above enables an easy mounting of constituent members and a high resolution measurement, even when the diameter of the device is reduced.

摘要: A semiconductor device manufacturing method is disclosed wherein a semiconductor integrated circuit is formed in each of plural semiconductor chip regions of a semiconductor wafer which regions are to become semiconductor chips later and then the semiconductor wafer is cut along scribing regions each provided between adjacent semiconductor chip regions. The semiconductor chip regions are each in a rectangular shape having long sides and short sides. The scribing regions include a first scribing region in contact with the short sides and a second scribing region in contact with the long sides. The width of the second scribing region is smaller than the width of the first scribing region. In a photolithography process, first and second alignment patterns for making alignment in both X and Y directions are all formed in the first scribing region and not formed in the second scribing region. Both improvement of the alignment accuracy and reduction of the semiconductor device manufacturing cost can be attained.

摘要: A communication apparatus connected to a PBX and an ATM network is provided with a DTMF signal detecting portion for detecting whether or not a DTMF signal is contained in a voice signal from the PBX, a DTMF signal monitoring portion, a DTMF cell generating portion for coding and sending out a DTMF signal, a DTMF cell decomposing portion for decoding a coded DTMF signal and a DTMF signal generating portion for generating a DTMF signal on the basis of the information content of a decoded DTMF signal and sending out this DTMF signal to the PBX, and the transmission side communication apparatus codes a DTMF signal in a specified form and transmits the DTMF signal and the reception side communication apparatus decodes the coded DTMF signal and, on the basis of this content information, restores the DTMF signal in a DTMF signal generating portion. By doing so, even in case of transmitting a DTMF signal by way of a communication apparatus performing a voice code compression, it is made possible for a reception side communication apparatus (PBX) to judge/recognize the DTMF signal without error.
