摘要: In a mold oscillation device for making oscillation of a mold used in a continuous casting machine, an acceleration sensor (22) detects the oscillation to produce an oscillation detection signal representative of said oscillation. The oscillation detection signal has a particular waveform. Responsive to the oscillation detection signal, a signal producing circuit (30) produces an adjusting signal with reference to the particular waveform. With reference to the adjusting signal, a control unit (16) controls the oscillation. In order to produce the adjusting signal, it is preferable that the signal producing circuit carries out a frequency analysis as regards the particular waveform.

摘要: A heat sink/circuit board assembly allows repairing or inspection of circuit or parts without impairing heat-radiating effect. A sub-heat sink is protruded from a lateral end of the circuit board in a direction parallel to the main surface of the circuit board and is connected to the main heat sink at its protruding portion. The diameter of the opening of the recessed portion of the main heat sink facing the circuit board is made larger than outer diameter of the circuit board. When circuit elements on the main surface of the circuit board facing the recessed portion of the main heat sink are to be repaired or inspected, the main heat sink is connected to the sub-heat sink on a main surface which is on the opposite side to the surface carrying the circuit elements, while the same heat-radiating effect as in the normal condition can be obtained.

摘要: A gadget for remedy and prevention of knee joint trouble accompanied by the movement of the patella, comprising a patella fixing member and a connecting belt wound round the knee to fix the patella fixing member thereon. The patella fixing member is provided with an opening for exposing the patella. A distinguishing feature is the provision of a fixing member pressing band on the top side of the fixing member covering the opening to prevent the decrease of correction effect due to the deformation of the opening being extended when the brace is put on and when the knee joint is bent.

摘要: A buffing apparatus for production of a retreaded tire. The buffing apparatus can reliably prevent the scatter of buffing swarf and allows smooth transfer of the tire after the buffing operation. The buffing apparatus for production of a retreaded tire includes a grinder facing the tire and buffing its periphery, upper and lower scatter shields disposed about the grinder, spaced apart from each other in the tire radial direction, and coming in contact with the tire, and left and right scatter shields spaced apart from each other in the tire width (axial) direction and coming in contact with the tire. The left and right scatter shields are of such design as to be turnable from predetermined initial positions outward in the axial directions of the tire.

摘要: Fine asperities are simply formed in the surface of a light emission surface to improve an luminous efficiency of a light emitting element. An LED element 10 is prepared as an example of a luminous body, and a thermally deformable heat mode recording material layer 12 is formed in the light emission surface 18 of the LED element 10. The recording material layer 12 is then illuminated with condensed light so that a plurality of recessed portions 15 are formed at a pitch of 0.01-100 times a center wavelength of the light emitted from the LED element 10.

摘要: Conventionally, a particle/defect inspection apparatus outputs a total number of detected particles/defects as the result of detection. For taking countermeasures to failures in manufacturing processes, the particles/defects detected by the inspection apparatus are analyzed. Since the inspection apparatus outputs a large number of detected particles/defects, an immense time is required for analyzing the detected particles/defects, resulting in a delay in taking countermeasures to a failure in the manufacturing processes. In the present invention, an apparatus for optically inspecting particles or defects relates a particle or defect size to a cause of failure in an inspection result. A data processing circuit points out a cause of failure from the statistics on the inspection result, and displays information on the inspection result. A failure analysis is conducted by setting a threshold for identifying a failure in each of regions on a semiconductor device or the like to statistically evaluate detected particles.
