Abstract:
A value of an AC reference waveform is obtained and converted to a d-q reference frame value. A phase estimate is generated responsive to the d-q reference frame value. An AC output of the power supply apparatus is controlled responsive to an output current of the power supply apparatus and the phase estimate. For example, an output current value may be obtained and converted to a d-q reference frame current value responsive to the phase estimate, and the AC output may be controlled responsive to the d-q reference frame current value.
Abstract:
Computer systems and methods allow users to annotate content items found in a corpus such as the World Wide Web. Annotations, which can include any descriptive and/or evaluative metadata related to a document, are collected from a user and stored in association with that user. Users are able to annotate and view their annotations for any document they encounter while interacting with the corpus, including hits returned in a search of the corpus. Users are also able to search their annotations or to limit searches to documents they have annotated. Metadata from annotations can also be aggregated across users and aggregated metadata applied in generating search results.
Abstract:
A motor drive for conditioning power to be delivered to a load includes a current feedback circuit that monitors current being fed to a transformer connected between the motor drive and the load. Based on the total current input to the transformer, a controller adjusts the V/Hz profile along which the motor drive operates. In this regard, the motor drive operates according to a V/Hz profile during start-up that prevents transformer saturation.
Abstract:
A broadband video layer is integrated with a separately encoded highlight layer configured for presentation in a first window of a video display. One or more visible objects in the video layer are associated with corresponding fitted highlight shapes in the highlight layer. Appearance of the shape object in the video layer is synchronized to appearance of an associated highlight shape to define highlight events. A context may be defined for each highlight event. Occurrence of highlight events may be represented by icons or markers in a video progress bar. Contextual information may be presented in a second window synchronized with the highlight events.
Abstract:
A method for receiving credit for revenue generating activities conducted on one or more designated Internet domains through an organization's internal network includes the steps of: detecting that a user of the internal network has requested access to one of the designated domains; routing user access to the designated domain; sending a signal indicating at least one of the user's access of and request to access the designated domain; and receiving at least partial credit for the at least one of the user's access and request to access the designated domain. In at least one embodiment, user access is routed to the designated domain through a proxy server.
Abstract:
A package of a semiconductor device with a flexible wiring substrate and a method thereof are provided. The package of the semiconductor device includes a semiconductor substrate with at least one pad on a surface thereof, a bump bonded to the pad, an adhesive layer on the bump, and a flexible wiring substrate having at least one contact section being electrically connected with the bump by the adhesive layer. The present invention makes the flexible wiring substrate directly conductively attached onto the semiconductor substrate. The package size is shrunk and the cost down can be obtained.
Abstract:
A cartridge includes a first layer to receive a printed circuit board hosting a biochip. A second layer is connected to the first layer and is configured for sample injection to the biochip. The second layer includes a first septum to isolate fluidic ports. A third layer is connected to the second layer and is configured for fluidic purge operations. The third layer includes a second septum to isolate a fluidic channel. A fourth layer is connected to the third layer and is configured to receive and route fluidic samples to the third layer.
Abstract:
Use of compounds of the following formula as analgesics, in particular antihyperalgesics, is described: wherein R is C1-4 alkoxy, and X is H or OH.
