A position control apparatus includes a detecting unit configured to detect a position of a control target, a subtracting unit configured to subtract an output of the detecting unit from a target value, an iterative learning control circuit including a filter into which a deviation between the output of the detecting unit and the target value is input, where the iterative learning control circuit feeds forward a control input to the control target, and a parameter computing unit configured to compute a variation in a parameter of the control target. A characteristic of the filter is computed in accordance with the variation in the parameter of the control target.

A wheelchair is disclosed that includes a seat, a pair of wheels, a detection part indicating the presence or absence of a user on the seat, electric brake units switching between applying braking forces to and releasing braking forces from the wheels based on control signals, and a control part connected to the detection part and the electric brake units and outputting the control signals to the electric brake units. The control signals include a first control signal causing the braking forces by the electric brake units to be applied to the wheels and a second control signal causing the braking forces by the electric brake units to be released therefrom. The first control signal is output when the detection part indicates the absence of the user on the seat, and the second control signal is output when the detection part indicates the presence of the user on the seat.

A method of producing a disc of an automotive road wheel by using an aluminum alloy as a material. The producing method comprising the following steps: (1) casting a disc material including an annular spoke section which has a ridge and is formed with a depression, the depression defined by a bottom wall; and (2) forging the disc material to obtain the forged disc by applying a processing degree of not less than 15% to the bottom wall of the spoke section and by applying a stress of not less than 50 MPa to the ridge of the spoke section.

A temporary pacing catheter having an integrally attached temporary pacemaker function is disclosed. The pacemaker integrally built in this catheter for temporary pacing has a very small size and can be fixed to the body of a patient, and therefore, the patient can be transferred conveniently. Furthermore, if this catheter is packaged in the sterilized condition, problems or another's help required for the connection of the catheter to the pacemaker and the like operations in the conventional technique can be avoided, and therefore, the packaged catheter is suitably used for an emergency treatment. Moreover, if a balloon is attached and arranged so that when the balloon is inflated, the balloon envelopes an electrode at the distal end, the catheter can be caused to flow in the heart and blood vessel safely and promptly.
