摘要: The electrically conductive glass is obtained by providing a transparent electrically conductive film 12 such as ITO or FTO on a glass plate, and providing a grid including a film of a passivated metal on this transparent electrically conductive film. An insulating, fine oxide film formed on the surface of the passivated metal prevents leakage current from flowing from the grid to an electrolyte. In addition, leakage current is prevented from flowing from the transparent electrically conductive film to the electrolyte by providing a diffusion-preventing film including titanium or titanium oxide between the transparent electrically conductive film and the grid.

摘要: A method of preventing a high-frequency noise generated in an electronic device, remaining in a grounding cable as a standing wave and transmitted to electric devices, is disclosed, which method including disposing, directly or via an insulating layer, a non-metallic conductive material having a slight electric resistance, on a conductor of the above-mentioned grounding cable, making the electric resistance of the non-metallic conductive material consume the high-frequency noise flowing on the conductor surface of the grounding cable by virtue of a skin effect, whereby resonance of the high-frequency noise is reduced. Resonance of the high-frequency noise generated from various electronic devices in an office building and the like can be easily reduced. Consequently, various disadvantages due to high-frequency noise can be avoided. In addition, the slight electric resistance R of the non-metallic conductive material and inductance L of the metal conductor are set to satisfy the formula: 2&pgr;fL/R≦1, so that the resonance of a high-frequency noise can be reduced.

摘要: A multi-channel module with a plurality of chips is mounted on a multilayer circuit board and has a simple and highly reliable structure cooling system for cooling the heat generated by the chips consuming a large amount of electric power. The cooling system uses in the horizontal direction a coolant supply pipe having straight tube sections and flexible bellows sections alternately disposed in the axial direction of the pipe. The straight tube sections of the aforesaid coolant supply pipe are brought into contact with the upper faces of the chips by a spring force so as to cool continuously the plurality of chips with the coolant flowing in one coolant supply pipe thereby providing a simply structured cooling system for chips. Such a structured cooling system enables the collective assembly of cooling parts for a plurality of chips with only a small number of parts and produces highly reliable effects thereby being able to implement the miniaturization of a main frame computer.

摘要: First and second optical waveguides are provided which extend at one end to one side of an electro-optic plate and are interconnected at the other ends, and the connection point is connected to one end of a third optical waveguide. Light from the third optical waveguide is branched to the first and second optical waveguides, whereas light beams from the first and second optical waveguides are supplied together to the third optical waveguide. The angle of the first optical waveguide to the above-mentioned one side of the electro-optic plate is deviated from 90.degree.. The end face of the first optical waveguide at that side forms a reflecting surface and is connected to one end of a fourth optical waveguide. The other end of the fourth optical waveguide extends to another side of the electro-optic plate. By forming end faces of the second and fourth optical waveguides at different sides of the electro-optic plate, optical active elements can be fixed directly to such end faces, even if the electro-optic plate is small.

摘要: A modulated phase difference is detected between two rays of light phase modulated by a phase modulator, having propagated through an optical fiber coil in opposite directions and interfering with each other. A ramp voltage controlled in polarity and frequency in accordance with the detected phase difference is generated. The ramp voltage is applied to the phase modulator to control it so that a maximum phase shift of light thereby is 2.pi. k rad (where k=.+-.1, .+-.2, . . . ). To correct the temperature characteristic of the phase modulator, a peak value control circuit creates a reference voltage corrected by a voltage detected by a temperature sensor and controls the peak value of the ramp voltage by the reference voltage, thereby ensuring that the maximum phase shift of light in the phase modulator is always 2.pi. k rad regardless of temperature changes.

摘要: After a metallic cylindrical tube is bulged to form a bellows with a circular cross section, this bellows is ovalized to form a bellows with an oval cross section. For this reason, an inexpensive round tube (cylindrical tube) can be used as the material for a bellows with an oval cross section and it is unnecessary to use an expensive oval tube. Accordingly, a bellows with an oval cross section can be produced at low cost.

摘要: This invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing a T-joint, which consists of a tube portion and a collar portion, by using burring techniques. The apparatus is provided with a high-frequency induction heating unit for heating the circumferential portion of a pilot hole made in a tube, a cooling ring for ejecting a coolant to the circumferential portion of the pilot hole, and a temperature distribution control for controlling the heating rate of the heating unit and the coolant ejection rate of the cooling ring. The apparatus thus constructed enables the working temperature of the parts of the circumferential portion of the pilot hole in the plane of which includes the axes of the tube and the collar to be lower than that of the parts of the circumferential portion in the plane extending at right angle to the above-mentioned plane. Therefore, this apparatus can be used effectively to manufacture a T-joint of which the thicknes of the collar portion is substantially uniform in the circumferential direction of the circumferential portion of the pilot hole.

摘要: A key-board switching unit for electronic instruments is constructed with a printed circuit board provided with a plural number of pairs of fixed contact points on the surface and an insulating covering sheet member mounted on or above the printed circuit board and provided on the bottom surface with movable contact points to face the fixed contact points. Different from conventional units in which exact correspondence in the positions of the fixed and movable contact points is required with time- and labor-consuming assembling works, the movable contact points in multiple numbers distributed over the whole bottom surface of the covering sheet member in such a manner that, when the covering sheet member is pushed and depressed at the switching position, the fixed contact points forming a pair of the counter-electrodes are contacted and electrically connected with at least one movable contact point even without exact positioning of the covering sheet member and the printed circuit board to give a great advantage of the increased productivity in the works of assembling. In particular, the movable contact points are formed of a pressure-sensitive electroconductive rubber.
