Abstract: A vehicular trailer hitching assist system includes a rear backup camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and a control disposed in the vehicle. A display device includes a video display screen operable to display video images for viewing by a driver of the vehicle. Responsive to the driver initiating a hitching maneuver event by engaging reverse gear of the vehicle, rear backup video images derived from image data captured by the rear backup camera are displayed at the video display screen. An overlay overlays the displayed rear backup video images and aids in guiding connection of a trailer hitch of the equipped vehicle to a trailer tongue of a trailer. Continued display of rear backup video images that are overlaid by the overlay is ceased upon elapse of a threshold period of time or upon exceeding a threshold speed or upon exceeding a threshold distance traveled.

Abstract: A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly and a camera disposed at the interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly behind and viewing through an electrochromic mirror reflective element into the interior cabin of the vehicle. Supplemental sources of near infrared illumination are integrated into the mirror assembly that, when powered to emit near infrared light, illuminate at least the driver-side front seating area within the interior cabin of the vehicle. Presence of the camera is not readily apparent to an occupant of the vehicle. The camera at least (a) views the driver-side front seating area of the equipped vehicle and (b) views a passenger-side front seating area of the equipped vehicle. The driver of the equipped vehicle is monitored via processing at the processor of image data captured by the camera.

Abstract: A vehicular trailer hitching assist system includes a rear backup camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and a control disposed in the vehicle. A display device includes a video display screen operable to display video images for viewing by a driver of the vehicle. During a hitching maneuver event undertaken by the driver to hitch a trailer hitch of the vehicle to a trailer tongue of a trailer, and while the driver of the vehicle is maneuvering the vehicle to hitch the vehicle to the trailer, the control outputs video images derived from image data captured by the rear backup camera for display by the video display screen. At least one overlay overlays the displayed video images to guide the driver during the hitching maneuver. The at least one overlay aids in guiding connection of the trailer hitch of the vehicle to the trailer tongue of the trailer.

Abstract: A vehicular camera monitoring system a driver-side camera, a driver-side video display screen disposed at a driver-side cabin region of an interior cabin of the vehicle, a passenger-side camera and a passenger-side video display screen disposed at a passenger-side cabin region of the interior cabin of the vehicle. During a parking maneuver or parking-space exit maneuver of the vehicle, the driver-side video display screen displays parking assist images derived from image data captured by the driver-side camera and the passenger-side video display screen displays parking assist images derived from image data captured by the passenger-side camera. Upon completion of the parking-space exit maneuver where the vehicle exits a parking space, the driver-side and passenger-side video display screens automatically operate to display driving assist video images derived from image data captured by the respective side camera, with the displayed driving assist video images being different from the displayed parking assist images.

Abstract: A vehicular control system includes a central control module vehicle, a plurality of vehicular cameras disposed at a vehicle and viewing exterior of the vehicle, and a plurality of radar sensors disposed at the vehicle and sensing exterior of the vehicle. The central control module receives vehicle data relating to operation of the vehicle. The central control module is operable to process (i) vehicle data, (ii) image data and (iii) radar data. The central control module at least in part controls at least one driver assistance system of the vehicle responsive to (i) processing at the central control module of vehicle data, (ii) processing at the central control module of image data captured by at least the forward-viewing vehicular camera and (iii) processing at the central control module of radar data captured by at least a front radar sensor.

Abstract: A vehicular scalable integrated control system includes a plurality of sensors and a vehicular scalable integrated control unit. The plurality of sensors includes a plurality of cameras and a plurality of radar sensors. Data captured by the sensors is provided as input to and is processed at the vehicular scalable integrated control unit. Responsive at least in part to processing at the vehicular scalable integrated control unit of data captured by the plurality of sensors, the vehicular scalable integrated control system at least partially controls at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) braking of the vehicle while being driven along a road and (ii) steering of the vehicle while being driven along the road. The plurality of cameras includes a front camera disposed at an in-cabin side of a windshield of the vehicle. The front camera views through the windshield forward of the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular control system includes a central control module vehicle, a plurality of image capture sensors, at least one radar sensor and at least one lidar sensor disposed at an equipped. The central control module receives vehicle data relating to operation of the vehicle. During a driving maneuver of the vehicle, and responsive at least in part to fusion at the central control module of (i) captured image data, (ii) captured radar data and (iii) captured lidar data, a pedestrian or other vehicle may be detected or the speed of the equipped vehicle may be controlled. Responsive to the central control module determining that the detected pedestrian constitutes a potentially hazardous driving condition for the equipped vehicle, the central control module may control at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) braking of the equipped vehicle and (ii) steering of the equipped vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular driving assist system includes a rearward viewing camera, a driver-side camera, a passenger-side camera and at least one radar sensor. Image data captured by the cameras is provided to a control and radar data captured by the radar sensor is provided to the control. The control processes the provided captured data to determine a potential hazard presented by rear-approaching traffic. The control outputs video image data for display by a display device of the equipped vehicle. The display device includes a video display screen that displays video images for viewing by a driver of the equipped vehicle during operation of the equipped vehicle. The control processes provided captured image data and provided captured radar data to alert the driver to the determined potential hazard presented by the rear-approaching traffic in the side traffic lane adjacent to the traffic lane being traveled by the equipped vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular rear backup vision system includes a rear backup digital color camera and a display device including a video display screen disposed in an interior cabin of the vehicle and viewable by a driver of the vehicle. Upon initial ignition on of the vehicle that commences a new ignition cycle of the vehicle, the rear backup digital color camera is electrically powered. After engine startup of the vehicle, the vehicular rear backup vision system displays on the video display screen rear backup color video images solely derived from image data captured by the rear backup digital color camera no later than 2 seconds after the driver of the vehicle first shifts a vehicle transmission of the vehicle into reverse gear to commence a first backup event. The rear backup digital color camera remains electrically powered at least until the first backup event is completed.
