摘要: A laser arrangement comprises an optically pumped laser (2) and at least one semiconductor laser (1) which emits pump radiation (6) for pumping the optically pumped laser (2). The semiconductor laser (1) contains a plurality of monolithically integrated active zones (3, 4, 5) arranged one above another, at least two of the plurality of active zones (3, 4, 5) emitting pump radiation (6) of different wavelengths. In this way, it is possible to pump different absorption bands of the optically pumped laser (2) using a single semiconductor laser (1).

摘要: A vaccine against disease caused by papilloma viruses is described in certain embodiments, as well as certain vectors, obtainable by the following methods: (a) one or more expression vectors that contain the DNA code for a structural protein of papilloma viruses or a fragment thereof are injected into mammals, whereby in at least some of the expression vectors randomly generated heterologous sequences are inserted into the DNA code (b) serums are obtained from the mammals and these are tested for the presence of antibodies against particles of various papilloma virus types, and (c) using the serums tested, the structural protein gene clones are identified that code for a polyvalent vaccine, and (d) the vaccine is produced from them. Procedures for producing a vaccine is also described, together with its use for vaccination against diseases caused by papilloma viruses.

摘要: An improved method of dynamically estimating the concentration of recirculated exhaust gases in air/fuel mixture of an internal combustion engine equipped with an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system. The EGR concentration at engine intake ports is separately estimated with static and dynamic models, and the EGR concentration for control purposes is determined by adjusting the result of the dynamic model based on a deviation of the dynamic model from the static model. This method provides the total EGR concentration, but can alternatively provide the inert EGR concentration through the inclusion of an exhaust inert ratio model.
