    摘要: The invention provides a device and method for data processing. The data processing device has a local memory which has part of address locations of the main memory as its address location, which is accessed by a CPU, and which can obtain same effect as cache memory without having cache directory, a comparator which determines whether or not an address to be accessed is an address allocated in the local memory when the CPU requests memory access to the main memory, a flip-flop which indicates that the data processing device is in the initial program loading mode or the in-operation mode, and a memory control unit which controls to copy data stored in a specific part of address locations of the main memory into the local memory by reading out an instruction (loader) from the main memory when the flip-flop indicates the initial program loading mode, and which controls to write data in the main memory by reading out an instruction (if stored) from the local memory when the flip-flop indicates the in-operation mode. The method for processing data has the step of loading data from an external memory into the main memory at initial program loading, the step of copying part of data stored in the main memory to the local memory, and the step of reading out an instruction from the local memory and writing data in the main memory when the instruction to be read out in the in-operation mode is stored in the local memory, and reading out an instruction from the main memory and writing data in the main memory when the instruction is not stored in the local memory.

    摘要: A data processing system having an address conversion system for translating a virtual address into a real address, including a main memory for storing instructions and data and a second memory for storing an address conversion table including a plurality of entries, each of which consists of a plurality of control bits and a portion of a real address. A central processing unit executes the instruction stored in the main memory according to a microprogram. An addressing means addresses the second memory by a continuous portion, which includes the effective upper most bit of the virtual address for the address conversion and for updating of the conversion table. The main memory need not store the conversion table.

    摘要: A microprogram-controlled data processor executes a user instruction having an operation code field to specify the type of user instruction and at least one operand field to designate one of the general registers provided in a register file. The data processor comprises a logic circuit including the register file and at least one register connected directly to the register file for storing address data for addressing the register file. The data in the operand field of the user instruction is stored in the register during a microstep immediately before the first microstep of the microprogram for executing the user instruction. The output signal of the register designates one of the general registers provided in the register file.

    摘要: An apparatus for generating a high-quality character pattern defined by edge lines includes a code pattern memory, a projection section, a filling section, and a controller. The code pattern memory is divided into a plurality of areas and stores winding number (WN) code data corresponding to a plurality of characters. The projection section, in response to an input projection start command, projects input size-changed edge lines defining a pattern in the code pattern memory in units of N points (N is a positive integer of 2 or more) continuous in a line direction perpendicular to a filling direction while the WN codes of points corresponding to the plurality of characters stored in the divided areas of the code pattern memory are updated by a WN code determined at each point. The projection section also generates a projection end response when projection of the size-changed edge lines is completed. The filling section, responsive to an input filling command, fills an area defined by the size-changed edge lines to obtain a dot pattern in accordance with the WN codes read out from the code pattern memory. The controller outputs the projection start command in response to an input pattern generation instruction and outputs the filling start command to the filling section in response to the projection end response from the projection section.
