The seal arrangement is provided with at least a first carrier, the first carrier carrying at least one resilient seal and being fixed to a rotationally fixed bearing ring, and a second carrier, the second carrier being fixed to the bearing ring that can rotate and carrying at least one encoder. The encoder has an outwardly oriented circumferential surface in the shape of a truncated circular cone.

The assembly also has a tensioning element that mutually braces the adapter section and the journal section under an overall pre-tension, the end gearing being braced by a first pre-tension along a first force path A between the adapter section and the journal section and the inner ring being braced by a second pre-tension along a second force path B between the adapter section and the journal section. At least some sections of the first and second force paths A and B are parallel.

The periphery of the wheel flange is profiled over approximately half its axial width with a peripheral locking receptacle in the form of a polygon or polyhedron shape for receiving a brake disk or brake drum thereon and for transmitting the torque between the brake disk or drum and the wheel flange. In addition, fastening bolts between the brake disk or drum and the wheel flange are received in holes in the wheel flange for holding the brake disk or drum to the wheel flange. But, the torque is transmitted due to the peripheral locking receptacle formed on the wheel flange.

摘要: A wheel mount for a vehicle wheel having a wheel flange on the exterior of which is mounted a rotation bearing. The wheel flange bore is internally splined. A cardan shaft has an externally threaded shaft portion projecting into the bore of the wheel flange. A resilient sheet metal nut is internally screw threaded to be screwed onto the threaded portion of the cardan shaft. The nut has a radially outwardly extending flange which engages the wheel flange so as to axially fix the nut at the wheel flange as the nut is tightened on the cardan shaft portion. The outer circumference of the nut, axially at its threaded portion, has radially resilient tongues projecting out into the splining of the wheel flange to permit the nut to be screwed onto the cardan shaft portion and either to permit the nut to be unscrewed or in a different design to prohibit the nut from being unscrewed. Through the nut, the wheel flange and the cardan shaft are secured.
