Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may determine, when using resource spread multiple access with non-orthogonal multiple access, that a particular modulation scheme is enabled. The user equipment may process symbols using a set of processing sequences selected based at least in part on the particular modulation scheme such that the particular modulation scheme is preserved for the symbols. The user equipment may transmit the symbols based at least in part on processing the symbols using the set of processing sequences. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure provide for methods, apparatus, and computer software for transmitting a common uplink burst in time division duplex (TDD) carriers. The common uplink burst includes a sounding reference signal (SRS) transmitted separate from (e.g., decoupled from) a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS). At least one symbol in the common uplink burst includes a control region for carrying control information and a data region for carrying data information. The SRS may be precoded separately from precoding of the control and data regions, so that the control and/or data information may be transmitted utilizing multiple input multiple output (MIMO).

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to retransmissions of data within wireless communication networks. For a retransmission, at least a portion of the encoded bits of an original transmission may be mapped to different bit locations in one or more modulated symbols based on a non-random mapping rule. In some examples, the encoded bits of a symbol may be reversed within the symbol for a retransmission. In other examples, the first and last encoded bits within a symbol may be switched for a retransmission. Other non-random mapping rules, such as a bit location offset, may also be used to map encoded bits to different bit locations in the modulated symbol within a retransmission.

Abstract: Techniques for wireless communications in a system with long term evolution (LTE) integrated with new radio (NR) are provided. A method for wireless communications includes determining a configuration of component carrier(s) (CCs) of a first radio access technology (RAT) and CC(s) of a second RAT. The method also includes identifying one of the CC(s) in the first RAT as an uplink anchor CC based on the configuration. The method further includes identifying a HARQ timing for at least one of the CC(s) of the second RAT based on at least one of a symbol duration, a transmit time interval (TTI) length or a subframe structure of the one of the CC(s) of the first RAT. The method further yet includes sending feedback to a second node in the identified uplink anchor CC for transmissions received in the CC(s) of the second RAT.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques and apparatus for enhanced decoding, for example, by providing a multi-phase tail biting convolutional code (TBCC) decoding algorithm. An exemplary method generally includes obtaining, via a wireless medium, a codeword encoded with a TBCC encoding scheme, generating metrics for candidate paths through trellis stages of a decoder, propagating information from at least one of the trellis stages to a later trellis stage, while generating the metrics, selecting a set of the candidate paths based on the propagated information, and decoding the encoded codeword by evaluating the selected set of candidate paths based, at least in part, on the generated metrics. Abstract: The present disclosure describes a method, an apparatus, and a computer readable medium for a multilayer transmission in a wireless network. For example, the method may include generating a group of binary data bits for resources of each layer of a plurality of layers, mapping the group of binary data bits of each layer of the plurality of layers to respective code words in a signal constellation, combining the code words, and transmitting the combined code word to receiver in the wireless network. As such, the multilayer transmission in a wireless network is achieved.
