Abstract:
A test specimen that has one or more chemical substances fixed to prescribed plural independent positions on a substrate, and the quantities of the chemical substances fixed at the respective prescribed positions are the total of integer multiples of existence quantity units defined for the respective chemical substances in the range from 1 amol to 1 nmol (excluding the case in which the total quantity is zero).
Abstract:
A computer connectable image display apparatus for presentation is provided. The image display apparatus has a candidate information obtaining unit, a selection screen display unit, a presentation execution instruction unit, and a drawing screen display unit. The candidate information obtaining unit obtains selection candidate information generated by the computer relating selection candidates for a presentation subject file. The selection screen display unit generates and displays a selection screen for selecting the presentation subject file based on the selection candidate information. The presentation execution instruction unit makes the computer to execute the selected presentation subject file by sending selection results with the selection screen. The drawing screen display unit captures and displays a computer drawing screen drawn by the computer. The image display apparatus displays the selection screen without displaying the computer drawing screen when a connection with the computer is established, and displays the computer drawing screen when drawing by the computer executing the selected presentation subject file is started.
Abstract:
[Problems] To provide an apparatus for feeding molten resin capable of preventing the adhesion of matters on the holding units for holding the molten resin, and of shortening the cycle for cleaning the holding units.[Means for Solution] The apparatus includes holding units 17 having holders 22, 23 that can be opened and closed to hold a molten resin that is discharged from an extruder and is cut by a cutter, and a base portion 21. The holding unit 17 opens the holders 22 and 23 to throw the molten resin down to a female mold in a compression-molding machine. A plurality of longitudinal grooves 18 extending up and down are formed in the inner circumferential surface of the base portion 21.
Abstract:
A wide frequency range signal from a test sound source is reproduced successively by a plurality of speakers, and the reproduced sound is detected by a plurality of microphones, after which the frequency characteristics are obtained at FFTs, while obtaining the frequency characteristics of the wide frequency range signal at an FFT. A high frequency range level is normalized with a low frequency range level, and a determination section compares the normalized value with a reference value stored in a reference value storage section to determine the number and positions of people in the sound field. The transfer functions between the speakers and the microphones are calculated at transfer function calculators, and impulse responses are obtained at IFFTs, after which a reverberation time calculator calculates the reverberation time based on the impulse responses. An audio signal is adjusted based on the results.
Abstract:
An apparatus for feeding a molten resin is operated for extended periods of time maintaining stability without permitting volatile components of the molten resin to adhere on the surfaces of conveyer means. An extruder in the apparatus for feeding the molten resin to the compression-forming machine has an extrusion unit which discharges a molten resin through an extrusion opening of an extrusion nozzle. An air injection nozzle for injecting the cooling gas is provided along the outer circumference of the extrusion nozzle, and the cooling gas is blown onto the surface of the molten resin extruded from the extrusion opening to cool the surface of the molten resin.
Abstract:
A novel method of very efficiently elevating the yield of oligosacchrides containing α-galactosyl, compared with the conventional methods, which comprises treating galactose or a galactose-containing material with a specific α-galactosidase and thus performing a dehydrocondensation reaction at a high substrate concentration. Anti-candida compositions originating in foods, having a high safety and excellent anti-candida effect and not being restricted in the supply, which contain as the active ingredient oligosacchrides obtained by treating galactose or a galactose-containing material with an α-galactosidase and thus performing a dehydrocondensation.
Abstract:
In-plane distribution of a target object contained in a sample is measured. The sample dispersedly placed on a substrate is treated to promote ionization of the target object. Then, the mass and flying amount of an ion containing the target object or a component thereof is determined by irradiating an ion beam to the sample and performing time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry of the ion that flies from a portion in the sample where the ion beam is irradiated, and the in-plane distribution of the target object is determined from the mass and flying amount data obtained at plural portions by scanning the beam on the sample plane. The step of treating the sample to promote ionization of the target object includes contacting an aqueous solution of an acid that does not crystallize at ordinary temperature with the sample. A high spatial resolution two-dimensional image can be obtained.
Abstract:
An information obtaining method for obtaining information about a mass of a component of an analyte using a time of flight mass spectrometer and obtaining information about a distribution state of the component based on the obtained information about the mass includes the step of: (1) adding a self-reactive substance to the analyte on a base to facilitate ionization of the component; (2) irradiating the analyte with a primary beam in the presence of the self-reactive substance, thereby ionizing the components and allowing resulting ions to fly; (3) obtaining information about mass of the flying ions using the time of flight mass spectrometer; and (4) obtaining information about the distribution state of the component on the base based on the information about the mass.
Abstract:
A time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometer comprises an ion source which generates cluster ions each comprised of two or more atoms, a pulsing mechanism which pulses the cluster ions, a selecting mechanism which selects ions having a specific mass number from the pulsed cluster ions and passes the selected ions in an ON state of the selecting mechanism, and, passes the pulsed cluster ions without the selecting in an OFF state of the selecting mechanism, and a time-of-flight mass spectrometric unit which measures a mass spectrum of secondary ions generated from a sample using a difference in time of flight when the sample is irradiated with the ions passed through the selecting mechanism.
Abstract:
The present invention intends to provide a high sensitivity method for identifying the type of a protein contained in each cell with a diameter of ten to several tens μm and a sample treatment solution required for it. The above is achieved by three steps of (1) treating a slice of a diseased tissue with an aqueous solution containing gold particles and a digestive enzyme, and digesting restrictively a protein of interest, (2) measuring a 2-dimensional distribution of fragmented peptides by TOF-SIMS, and (3) visualizing a 2-dimensional distribution of the target protein in the slice of the diseased tissue using the results of the proteome analysis and by means of a numerical analysis.
