    摘要: In a fuel injection apparatus for an internal combustion engine, the fuel injection is ended by a spill mechanism provided in a spill passage communicating with a pumping chamber. A piston opening and closing the spill passage is a free piston, and a solenoid valve to open and close a cylinder in which the free piston is disposed, is also provided. As the solenoid valve closes the cylinder, the free piston closes the spill passage, thus enabling the fuel feed to the fuel injection valve. When the solenoid valve opens the cylinder, the free piston opens the spill passage. Thus, the fuel flows through the spill passage to the fuel reservoir.

    摘要: A piezo-type valve with piezo-elements as a valve actuator. The piezo-elements are interposed by two freely movable pistons. A pressure chamber is formed on the outer side of one of the pistons to limit its outward movement. Thus, the substantial part of the expansion of the piezo-elements is transmitted to the other piston. The other piston is connected to a valve element. At least one flow port and a relief port are formed in the valve body. When voltage is applied to the piezo-elements, the at least one flow port and the relief port are communicated.

The air flowing through the front side cooling air flow passage and the upper side cooling air flow passage which are provided in the front side and the upper side of the casing, respectively, and the air flowing through the auxiliary air flow passage provided in the back side of the casing join together near the opening. By this means, the air flowing through the auxiliary air flow passage can change the direction of the air flowing lengthwise through the front side cooling air flow passage and the upper side cooling air flow passage.

    摘要: A piezo actuator drive circuit comprises a charging path for charging a piezo stack that can be driven by being charged and discharged, an arithmetic circuit for calculating the charging amount for the piezo stack, and a driving control circuit for comparing the calculated charging amount and a target charging amount and correcting the charging amount during the next charging process according to the difference between the compared charging amounts. A charging current flowing through the piezo stack and a charging voltage applied to it may be measured during a charging process. It is preferable that the calculated charging amount be the amount of energy that is the result of the time quadrature of the product of the measured current and voltage.

The permanent-wave treatment method comprises a winding step of applying permanent-wave treatment liquid to hair and winding the hair around rollers, and a liquid drop prevention step of sprinkling a powdery treatment auxiliary agent on the wound hair so as to prevent the permanent-wave treatment liquid from dropping. The treatment auxiliary agent comprises powder which adsorbs or partially dissolves in permanent-wave treatment liquid, and serves to increase the viscosity of the powder-sprinkled permanent-wave treatment liquid and prevent the permanent-wave treatment liquid from dropping.

    摘要: A common-rail fuel injection system for an engine includes a fuel injector having a nozzle hole. A common rail stores high-pressure fuel. The common rail is connected to the fuel injector to feed the high-pressure fuel thereto. A movable nozzle needle disposed in the fuel injector blocks and unblocks the nozzle hole in accordance with movement thereof. A back pressure control chamber defined in the fuel injector is connected to the common rail to receive the high-pressure fuel therefrom. The nozzle needle is urged in a direction of blocking the nozzle hole in response to a pressure in the back pressure control chamber. A fuel chamber defined in the fuel injector is connected to the common rail to receive the high-pressure fuel therefrom. The nozzle needle is urged in a direction of unblocking the nozzle hole in response to a pressure in the fuel chamber. A fuel-pressure-responsive 2-way valve controls the pressure in the back pressure control chamber. An electromagnetic valve changes a state of the fuel-pressure-responsive 2-way valve. The fuel injector and the fuel-pressure-responsive 2-way valve are combined into a single unit. The electromagnetic valve is separate from the fuel injector.
