    摘要: A first carrier signal generator (15) generates a carrier signal (S1) at a first frequency to modulate a preset identification code (S). A second carrier signal generator (16) generates a carrier signal (S2) at a second frequency, distinct from the first frequency. A modulator (14) affixes the identification code (S) to the carrier signal (S2), and outputs the carrier signal (S2) to a light-emitting circuit (17). When a "smart" or "learning" remote controller, of the type that demodulates frequency, receives the identification code (S), the carrier signal (Sw) of the second frequency is demodulated at the first frequency, compressed and stored in memory. The carrier signal (S2) set at the second frequency can cause the memory capacity of the remote controller to overflow, thereby preventing the identification code (S) from being stored in the learning remote controller.

    摘要: An inspecting method and device for inspecting an object or objects such as photomasks having a plurality of identical patterns, to detect defects of the patterns, wherein the object is placed such that the patterns lie in the same plane, and an inspection mask having a plurality of translucent apertures is placed such that the inspection mask is adjacent and parallel to the object. The inspection mask and the object are moved relative to each other whereby each aperture is positioned opposite to mutually corresponding portions of the patterns. The object and inspection mask are irradiated with rays of light emitted in a direction substantially normal to the plane of relative movements thereof. The rays of light transmitted through the apertures and the object are converted into electric signals, and the electric signals associated with the corresponding portions of the patterns are compared with each other, prior to obtaining the electric signals of all of the plurality of patterns. If the electric signals of the corresponding portions of the patterns differ from each other, these portions are determined to be defective.

A nozzle needle is slidably fitted into the nozzle body, to open or close the injection hole of the nozzle body. The nozzle needle is provided with a needle pin which is insertable into the injection hole. The needle pin involves a taper section which is progressively slenderized toward the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. A plurality of axially extending flattened surface portions are formed on the outer peripheral wall of the taper section of the needle pin. As a result, the annular gap region defined between the outer peripheral wall of the needle pin and the inner peripheral wall of the injection hole entails wider and narrower gap sections.

The method for compiling an image database that is used for a three-dimensional object recognition includes a steps of extracting vectors as local descriptors from a plurality of images each image showing a three-dimensional object as seen from different viewpoints, a model creating step of evaluating the degree of contribution of each local descriptor to identification of the three-dimensional object, and creating a three-dimensional object model systematized to ensure approximate nearest neighbor search using the individual vectors which satisfy criteria, and a registration step of adding an object identifier to the created object model and registering the object model into an image database. In the model creating step, the local descriptor to be used in the model is selected based on the contributions of the individual vectors which are evaluated in such a way that when a vector extracted from one image of one three-dimensional object is an approximate nearest neighbor to another vector relating to an image of the three-dimensional object seen from a different viewpoint, the vector has a positive contribution, whereas when the vector is an approximate nearest neighbor to another vector relating to a different three-dimensional object, the vector has a negative contribution. The processing program is designed to execute the method, and the processing apparatus executes the process.
