摘要: A thermal transfer system comprises, in combination, an ink ribbon which has an ink layer containing a dye and a printing sheet having an image-receiving layer. In the system, when the ink layer is heated in an imagewise pattern, the dye in the ink layer is melted or sublimated and transferred to the image-receiving layer in the imagewise pattern. The dye in the ink layer is selected from the group consisting of disazo dyes, isothiazole azo dyes and mixtures thereof and the image-receiving layer comprises a cellulose ester resin. The printed matter obtained has good light fastness and fading resistance in the dark comparable to silver salt photographs. The ink ribbon and the printing sheet are also provided, respectively.

摘要: Disclosed is an actuator comprising a plate-shaped output member including a shape memory alloy, which is disposed between two bodies capable of relative movement. The output member comprises a shape memory alloy having such shape memory characteristics that a wave plate shape having at least one wave which extends in the direction orthogonal to the line connecting the attachment ends of the output member to be attached to the two bodies is formed in a specific temperature region. By utilizing the force of the output member for restorign the memorized shape in this specific temperature region, relative movement is caused between the two bodies constructing an articulated arm. The two bodies are turnably supported on a shaft and the above-mentioned actuator is arranged in the state set off from one side relatively to a plane including this shaft so that two bodies are relatively turned around this shaft.

摘要: A head cartridge and a liquid ejection apparatus are provided in which cleaning performance of cleaning means is improved using a liquid absorbing force of a wiping member produced along with restoration of temporarily increased elastic displacement of the wiping member. An elastic displacement h (height of a projection) of a cleaning roller temporarily produced by the projection arranged at a position in the foreground of ink ejection nozzles in the cleaning direction of a nozzle surface is established to satisfy the following condition: h>(Vu/Vr)(L+n/2−φ/2), where the restoring speed of the elastic deformation of the cleaning roller is denoted as Vu; the moving speed of the cleaning roller is denoted as Vr; the movement distance of the cleaning roller from a restoring initiation point of the elastic deformation to the center of the liquid ejection nozzles is L; the contact width between the cleaning roller and the nozzle surface is n; and the diameter of the ink ejection nozzle is φ.

摘要: In a robot with two or more leg links having ankle joint respectively and pivotably linked to a torso, the robot walks naturally by making the ankle joint of a grounded leg link rotate freely by using passive movement. A controller executes controlling operation of calculating target joint angles of remaining joints other than the ankle joint of the grounded leg link based upon the measured joint angles of the ankle joint of the grounded leg link in the lateral and forward direction. The target joint angles of the remaining joints are calculated so as to satisfy the following condition that a tilting angle of the torso matches a target tilting angle determined based upon the measured joint angle of the ankle joint of the grounded leg link in the forward direction, a cycle period of the idle leg link from lifting to grounding, and a target stride of the idle leg link.

摘要: A method for forming a pattern includes the step of forming an electrically conductive film by applying a liquid composition onto a first plate. The liquid composition includes an organic solvent and conductive particles surface-modified with a fatty acid or an aliphatic amine. Then, a second pattern, which is a reverse pattern of a first pattern, is formed on the first plate by pressing a second plate having a concave-convex pattern on a surface thereof on a surface of the first plate having the electrically conductive film on the surface thereof. Then, the first pattern of the electrically conductive film is transferred onto convex top faces of the second plate. Then, the second pattern is transferred onto a surface of a transfer substrate by pressing the surface of the first plate having the second pattern thereon on the surface of the transfer substrate.
