摘要: A torque transmission system has driving and driven pulley units around which an endless V-belt extends. Each pulley unit has a stationary pulley part rotatable with a shaft and a movable pulley part disposed to define with the stationary pulley part a circumferentially continuous groove for receiving the V-belt. The movable pulley parts of the pulley units are axially resiliently biased so that the radii of the circle along which the V-belt engages the driving and driven pulley units are varied to change the speed-change ratio of the transmission system. The movable pulley part of the driven pulley unit is axially shifted by the action of fly weights held between a stationary plate fixed to the shaft and a holder fixed to the movable pulley part. One of the holder, movable pulley part and stationary plate is provided with surfaces extending parallel to the axis of the shaft and directed radially inwardly to radially inwardly support the fly weights when they are centrifugally moved to their radially outermost positions whereby the axial thrust force imparted by the radially outward movement of the fly weights to the V-belt is limited.

摘要: An electric control system for an automobile transmission includes an endless transmission member running on a pair of V-shaped pulley units, the mutual distances of the conical sheaves of which are hydraulically adjustable to transmit an output torque of an engine to a driven apparatus. The electric control system is arranged to determine an optimum fluid pressure in relation to the actual output torque of the engine and to determine an optimum transmission ratio for low fuel consumption in relation to the actual output power of the engine. The control system produces a first electric control signal indicative of the difference between the optimum fluid pressure and the actual fluid pressure in one of actuators for the respective pulley units and produces a second electric control signal indicative of the difference between the optimum and actual transmission ratios. The pressure of fluid applied to one of the actuators is controlled in response to the first electric control signal, and the flow quantity of fluid applied to the other actuator is controlled in response to the second electric control signal.

摘要: An electrically operated fuel pump device comprises a regenerative pump component and an electric motor component operatively connected to the regenerative pump component to actuate the same. The regenerative pump component includes a pump casing having spaced inner surfaces thereof cooperating with each other to define therebetween a pump chamber. An impeller is disposed within the pump chamber rotatably and axially movably. Clearances are defined between axial end faces of the impeller and the inner surfaces of the pump casing, respectively. Liquid fuel increased in pressure to a discharge pressure by the rotation of the impeller is introduced into the clearances to act on the axial end faces of the impeller so as to minimize the direct contact of the axial end faces of the impeller with the respective inner surfaces of the pump casing.

摘要: A device comprising exhaust leak preventing means made of a flexible material and mounted between a wall of a container and a catalyst element of a honeycomb structure disposed in the container to prevent leak of exhausts from an internal combustion engine mounted on a motor vehicle or the like through a gap between the container wall and the catalyst element before the exhausts are purified. Support means made of pliable metal may be used for holding the exhaust leak preventing means in place and keeping the latter from being dislodged from its position when the container is subjected to forces of impact or vibration.

摘要: Antiskid hydraulic braking system comprising a first shutoff valve operable to shutoff hydraulic pressure from a master cylinder to wheel cylinder as the brakes tend to lock the wheels of a vehicle. Wheel cylinders are connected to a reservoir through a second shutoff valve which relieves hydraulic pressure at the wheel cylinders until the tendency toward wheel lock disappears. The system further comprises an intermittently operable high speed hydraulic pump, such as a piezoelectric pump, which serves to pump the brake fluid in the reservoir to the wheel cylinders to restore hydraulic pressure in the wheel cylinders. The piezoelectric pump comprises a pump plunger having a small diameter head defining a pumping chamber and a large diameter base defining a delivery or pressure chamber. The brake fluid under pressure in the delivery chamber acts upon the plunger base to hydraulically preload the piezoelectric elements.

摘要: A brake oil pressure control device including a main line system for a normal braking operation, and a subline system for antiskid control and acceleration slip control. The main line system connects a master cylinder to a wheel cylinder, and has a first valve which opens the main line for a normal braking operation, and closes the main line when an antiskid control or acceleration slip control is in effect. The subline system has an oil pump connected to the wheel cylinder through a subline having a second valve, which is controlled to open and close the subline for the antiskid control or acceleration slip control. Inlet and outlet ports are connected by a relief pipe having a third valve and a relief valve. The relief valve opens the relief pipe under pressure from the master cylinder when a discharge pressure from the oil pump is higher than the pressure at the master cylinder, to restrain the discharge pressure from the oil pump. The third valve opens the relief pipe for an antiskid control, and closes the relief pipe for an acceleration slip control.

摘要: A mass flowmeter has a vortex generator for shedding a Karman vortex street downstream of the vortex generator positioned inside a duct for guiding a fluid. The vortex generator comprises a stationary member and a movable member which is displaceable in relation to the stationary member. The movable member is displaced by the expanding or contracting of bellows in response to changes in pressure and temperature of the fluid to thereby vary the characteristic dimension of the vortex generator. The Karman vortex shedding frequency of the vortex generator is measured by a heat-wire type sensor.
