    摘要: An ink jet recording head including: a vibrating plate made of ceramic; a pressure producing chamber forming member, made of ceramic, for forming a plurality of pressure producing chambers in rows; and drive electrodes formed on a surface of the vibrating plate so as to confront the pressure producing chambers. A width of the drive electrode is smaller than a width of the pressure producing chamber. A width of a piezoelectric vibrating element is larger than the width W2 of the drive electrode and smaller than the width of the pressure producing chamber, so that the operation region of the piezoelectric vibrating element is regulated by the width of the drive electrode and the peripheral portions of the piezoelectric vibrating element are bonded to the peripheral portions of the drive electrode reliably.

    摘要: The apparatus includes a circuit 49 for generating a first voltage waveform for expanding piezoelectric vibrators at a rate suitable to form ink drops, a second voltage for holding an expansion or contraction state, and a third voltage waveform for contracting the piezoelectric vibrators at a rate suitable to suck ink into pressure generating chambers; a circuit 52 for detecting the time when the process of forming ink drops by the first voltage waveform is ended; a delay circuit 53 for delaying a signal from the circuit 52 by a time .DELTA.T until vibration of menisci caused by the ink drop formation process, switches to motion toward nozzle openings; a charge signal generating circuit 48 for generating the third voltage waveform on the basis of a signal from the delay circuit 53; and a discharge signal generating circuit 51 for generating the first voltage waveform on the basis of a print timing signal. The third voltage waveform is generated when the menisci produced after forming ink drops have started moving toward the nozzle openings, so that ink required for the next formation of ink drops is sucked into the pressure generating chambers. Therefore, the force to retreat the menisci due to the expansion of the pressure generating chambers is canceled by motion of the menisci per se, and the retreat of the menisci caused by the suction of ink can be minimized. It is therefore possible to stabilize the menisci independently of the frequency.

    摘要: A drop-on-demand ink-jet printing head provided with an array of a plurality of piezoelectric elements arranged at regular intervals and fixed at their one ends to a base, the other ends of the respective piezoelectric elements being free ends which are disposed in opposition to nozzle respective apertures, the piezoelectric elements being formed by cutting, at predetermined width, a piezoelectric plate obtained by firing a lamination of paste-like piezoelectric material and conductive material stacked alternately in layers. Since each piezoelectric element is composed of a thin piezoelectric plate interposed between electrodes, if a voltage of only about 30 V, which is sufficient to drive the thin piezoelectric plate, is applied across the electrodes, it is possible to largely flex the whole of the piezoelectric element. By this transformation, ink between the top end of the piezoelectric element and the nozzle aperture is discharged to the outside as an ink drop. Because the driving voltage required for forming an ink drop is as low as possible, it is possible to simplify a driving circuit, and because of cutting a piezoelectric plate, it is possible to form small-sized piezoelectric elements with the same accuracy as in a process of producing a semiconductor.

    摘要: The intake airflow rate supplied to an internal combustion engine is measured and an obtained airflow rate measurement signal is used for detecting the operating state of the internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine is electronically controlled, and an airflow rate measuring unit includes a heat-generating element having a temperature-resistance characteristic. A heating current which rises in correspondence with a signal synchronous with rotation of the engine is supplied to the heat-generating element. The heating current is controlled to rise when the heat-generating element is heated to a predetermined temperature, and the heating current duration indicates the airflow rate measurement signal. A burn-off command signal is generated so as to burn off dust attached to the heat-generating element. The command signal is used to generate a periodic signal having a preset effective duration. The pulse signal sets a continuous supply of the heating current to the element for the pulse duration, so that the heat-generating element is heated to a temperature for burning off dust attached thereto.

    摘要: In a method for correcting the controlled variable of an engine according to the present invention, the quantity of suction air is measured by means of a thermal type flowmeter. The magnitude of pulsation of the suction air is obtained on the basis of the differential or variation of the measured section air quantity. At the same time, a coefficient representing the susceptibility to the pulsation which depends on the layout of the thermal type flowmeter and the like and the engine speed is calculated. A final correction for correcting the controlled variable is obtained on the basis of the magnitude of the pulsation and the coefficient representing the susceptibility.
