摘要： A labeling machine for applying tubular labels to articles; the machine comprises a conveying device movable along a given path and at least one unit to receive and retain an article to be labelled, a feeder to feed a label to the unit, a former to bend the label in a vertical tubular configuration with opposite vertical edges overlapping one another, and at least one welding device arranged on the conveying device to weld the overlapped edges of the label; the welding device comprises an electrically heatable sealing element, provided with a striplike working surface having a height at least equal to the height of the label overlapped edges to be welded, electrical power supplying means selectively connectable to the sealing element and controlled for heating the sealing element along a given portion of the mentioned path and for cooling the sealing element along a subsequent portion of the path, and actuator displacing the sealing element to and from the overlapped edges of the label along a horizontal direction transverse to the path.

The cylindrical sleeve is slid off of the mandrel and telescoped over a container passing thereunder. The container with a cylindrical sleeve therearound is then moved to a heating station which heats the label material, preferably foam polystyrene, to cause it to shrink into conformity with the contour of the container.

摘要： A horizontal type thermo-shrinking film labeling machine includes a tubular thermo-shrinking film dispensing wheel controlled to let off a thermo-shrinking film, a film delivery uni controlled to deliver the thermo-shrinking film forwards, a central guide shaft which guides the thermo-shrinking film in an opened status, a cutter unit controlled to cut the thermo-shrinking film being delivered from the central guide shaft, a packing wheel rotated to pick up the cut pieces of the thermo-shrinking film, permitting the cut pieces of the thermo-shrinking film to be sleeved onto products carried thereon individually, a feed unit controlled to feed products to respective receiving troughs on the packing wheel, a conveyer controlled to carry thermo-shrinking film packed products to a heating unit for heating, enabling each cut piece of the thermo-shrinking film to shrink and to be firmly secured to the periphery of the corresponding piece of product.

摘要： A continuous web of a preprinted heat shrinkable film with a heat sensitive adhesive on one surface thereof is wound around an outer periphery of a core member in such a manner as to overlap opposite longitudinal edges of the film to one another and form a continuous tubular label with the heat sensitive adhesive applied surface inwardly facing. A predetermined length of the continuous tubular label is cut into individual tubular labels, as the continuous tubular label is drawn downstream. The individual tubular label is applied over a container having a portion of a gradually decreasing cross section, from a portion of a smaller cross section of the container. The individual tubular label applied over the container is heated. Thereby, the individual tublar label is shrinked into intimate contact with the container with its portion of a larger cross section being bonded to the individual tubular label via the heat sensitive adhesive applied to the inwardly facing surface.

摘要： A decorative Jacket for a battery cell and the jacket applied to the cell, are disclosed. The jacket is a flat-wrap label, preferably formed of a single heat-shrinkable polymeric film and non-metallic ink design imprinted on the inside surface of the film. The film and ink design resist corrosion when exposed to corrosive atmospheres. The ink design is not electrically conductive. The label is applied by wrapping it around the cell outer surface with the ink design and inside surface of the film facing the cell. Preferably the entire label is subjected to a quick dose of heat to snap extended portions of the label over the top and bottom edges (shoulders) of the cell.
