Abstract:
The MFP 101 compresses the image data read by the scanner 102 using the JBIG format, and then stores the image data in the image-data storing unit 104. The converting unit 109 of the MFP 101 converts the stored image data into a specific file format and then outputs this converted image data. Herewith, the user need not have the MFP read the original source once again even when image data of that source is requested to be output in a different file format.
Abstract:
An image output apparatus capable of offline printing or displaying image and text data automatically and efficiently to a digital copying machine, a printer, a facsimile, a liquid crystal projector, and a television set. Discrimination is conducted as to whether data in a data file to be printed, which is read out from a memory card by a memory card controller, is color or monochrome image data. As a result of the discrimination, when the data is color image data, print confirmation unit provided in the image output apparatus allows a user to confirm whether or not to print out monochrome image data, which is converted from the color image data by the color/monochrome conversion unit.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes an image partitions manipulating unit that manipulates image partitions of encoded image information, each image partition containing plural values of pixels; a decoding unit that decodes the image information manipulated by the image partitions manipulating unit; and a pixels manipulating unit that manipulates pixels of the image information decoded by the decoding unit, partitioning an image into partitions which are manipulated by the image partitions manipulating unit being changed according to what manipulation is to be performed by the pixels manipulating unit.
Abstract:
a printing system comprising a terminal apparatus and a printing apparatus interconnected via a network, and said printing apparatus comprising: an identifier that identifies a user making access; an information acquirer that acquires information of a terminal apparatus used by the user who is identified by said identifier; and a transmitter that transmits printing apparatus information that is information of the printing apparatus itself, to the user's using terminal apparatus that is indicated in the information acquired by said information acquirer, and said terminal apparatus comprising: a receiver that receives the printing apparatus information transmitted from said printing apparatus; and a setter that sets said printing apparatus as the default printing apparatus according to the printing apparatus information received by said receiver.
Abstract:
A wireless adapter for a digital camera enables communications between the digital camera and remote devices over a wireless network. The wireless adapter comprises a wireless interface for communicating with remote devices, a housing for enclosing said wireless interface, a mechanical connector on said housing to mechanically connect the wireless adapter to the digital camera, and a camera interface to electrically connect the wireless adapter with the digital camera.
Abstract:
When a viewer resizes an image window while displaying image data distributed from a server on the image window of a client terminal, the client terminal notifies the server of the size of the image window after resizing. The server resizes the image data so that an image has the same size as that of the window, and transmits the resized image data to the client terminal. In this way, the need for the resizing processing in the client terminal can be obviated, thus reducing its load.
Abstract:
A printing system that includes: a printing condition command receiving unit that receives a primary printing condition command, the primary condition command being included together with printing image data in printing control data; printing condition command converting unit that converts the primary printing condition command to a secondary printing condition command corresponding to a printing apparatus; and a printing apparatus that carries out processing related to printing the printing image data based on the secondary printing condition command.
Abstract:
An image output apparatus for outputting an image to an image capturing apparatus comprises a first acquisition part for acquiring information concerning a display resolution of a display of the image capturing apparatus, a change part for changing an output resolution of the image in accordance with the display resolution, and an output part for outputting the image with the output resolution changed by the change part to the image capturing apparatus. The change part changes the output resolution to a resolution lower than an original resolution of the image.
Abstract:
This invention provides a first communication apparatus, which makes a facsimile communication via a packet communication network and can describe different contents image header information each including a date, time, source information, destination information, and the like in image data having a predetermined number of pixels upon sending the image data to a plurality of destinations, and a communication method. This invention also provides a second communication apparatus which makes a facsimile communication via a packet communication network and has a first mode in which image header information such as a date, time, source information, destination information, and the like can be described in image data having a predetermined number of pixels and can send the image data, and a second mode in which image data having one of various resolutions and an indefinite number of pixels can be sent.
Abstract:
In an apparatus and method according to the present invention, image data is read and stored in a recording medium. If the size of the original image data is determined as being different from the display size of a monitor apparatus, the original image data is converted to change the size of the original image to the display size of the monitor apparatus. The converted image data (display image data) is also stored in the recording medium. Therefore, image data whose size corresponds to the display size can be read from the recording medium when displaying the image, thus reducing the time required to display the image on a monitor apparatus.
