Abstract: A flue gas cleaning solution purification system includes: a scrubber for removing contaminants from flue gas by using a cleaning solution; a cleaning solution purification unit for purifying the contaminated cleaning solution discharged from the scrubber; a cleaning solution resupply unit for resupplying the cleaning solution having been purified by the cleaning solution purification unit to the scrubber; and a sludge treatment unit for treating and storing sludge discharged from the cleaning solution purification unit, wherein the cleaning solution purification unit includes: a circulation buffer tank for temporarily storing the discharged contaminated cleaning solution; a coagulant supply apparatus for supplying a coagulant which coagulates contaminants of the contaminated cleaning solution discharged from the scrubber; a settling apparatus for primarily purifying the contaminated cleaning solution discharged from the scrubber by enabling settling of the contaminants; and a filtering apparatus for secondarily purifying the cleaning solution by filtering the contaminated cleaning solution to remove the contaminants.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for performing peritoneal dialysis. According to one aspect, the disclosure provides a sterile interface connection for connecting a water purification system to a disposable source of dialysate concentrates. The sterile interface connection can include a chamber comprising an inlet adapted to be connected to the water purification system on a proximal end and a valve on a distal end. The sterile interface connection can also include spring-loaded needle disposed in the chamber. The spring-loaded needle can move between a retracted configuration in which the spring-loaded needle is fully retracted into the chamber and the valve is closed and sealed, and an extended configuration in which the spring-loaded needle extends through the valve into the disposable source of dialysate concentrates.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method and apparatus for reusing wastewater. The method for reusing wastewater disclosed herein includes: generating a mixed wastewater by mixing multiple types of wastewater (S20); performing a first purification by passing the mixed wastewater through a flocculation-sedimentation unit (S40); performing a second purification by passing an effluent of the flocculation-sedimentation unit through a membrane bioreactor (MBR) (S60); performing a third purification by passing an effluent of the MBR through a reverse-osmosis membrane unit (S80); and reusing an effluent of the reverse-osmosis membrane unit as cooling water or industrial water (S100).

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for biological wastewater treatment for Se control in Se-laden wastewater. The Se contaminants in the wastewater include the Se oxyanions selenate (SeO42-) and selenite (HSeO3−), which are biochemically reduced and transformed to elemental selenium (Se0) by microorganisms through anaerobic biological reduction. The resulting Se0 is entrained in the biomass, which is further processed to enable the efficient recovery of concentrated Se0.

Abstract: Mobile water filtration enables on-site recycling of wastewater for reuse in mechanical decoking operations of fired-heaters, furnaces, boilers, or systems prone to build up of deposits, residue, or scale and enables on-site disposal of wastewater in a safe and environmentally conscious manner. In batch operations, a coagulant, a flocculant, and a plurality of cascaded filters of increasingly fine pitch may be used to treat wastewater and remove particulate matter, such as, for example, coke, for reuse or safe disposal. In continuous operations, a plurality of cascaded filters of increasingly fine pitch may be used. A control system may be used to automate the operation of a mobile water filtration system for use with a decoking system, such that it does not require human intervention exception for maintenance operations related to filters. The filtered water may be disposed of on-site, eliminating the need for further treatment or transport off site.

Abstract: A peritoneal dialysis system includes a cycler including a pump actuator, a heater and a heating pan operable with the heater, and a disposable set operable with the cycler. The heating pan includes a sidewall forming a slot. The disposable set includes a pumping cassette and a heater/mixing container. The pumping cassette includes a pump chamber configured to be actuated by the pump actuator. Additionally, the heater/mixing container is in fluid communication with the pumping cassette and is sized to be received at the heating pan. The heater/mixing container includes a port configured such that when the port is slid into the slot of the heater pan sidewall, the port is prevented from rotating about an axis transverse to a direction of flow through the port.

Abstract: A hose management assembly for a water mineralization system has a housing with a filter positioned therein, a container receptacle assembly affixed to or formed on the housing, a pump cooperative with the container receptacle assembly so as to pass a mineral or supplement from a bottle, a first block affixed to a wall of the housing, and a second block affixed to the wall of the housing and spaced relation to the first block. The filter has a first hose extending therefrom. The inlet of the housing allows tap water to pass to the housing by a second hose. Drinking water is passed from the housing through the first hose. The first block receives a portion of the first and second hoses therein. The second block receives another portion of the first and second hoses therein.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a saline wastewater treatment system using solar-assisted heat pump. A method of solar thermal collector coupled with a heat pump can treat saline wastewater at low carbon and high efficiency, and industrial salt and fresh water can be obtained by concentration. The system includes a wastewater pretreatment system, a wastewater heating system, and a wastewater evaporation and concentration treatment system. The wastewater pretreatment system is connected to the wastewater heating system; and the wastewater heating system is connected to the wastewater evaporation and concentration treatment system.

Abstract: Provided is a water treatment system 50 having: a first unit 100 having a dirty water generation source; a second unit 200 designed to purify water, the second unit 200 having at least one of a purification tank, a solid-liquid separation tank, and an oil separation tank, and conducting a primary treatment of contaminated water that is received; and a third unit 300 having a contaminated-water inlet, a primary reception tank, an intermediate treatment tank, a reserve treatment tank, a circulation treatment tank, a concentrated water and impurity tank, and an aseptic drainage tank. Each of the first to third units is equipped with a sensor and a valve. The third unit is furthermore equipped with a control device and at least one of a pump, a sterilization device, a disinfection device, and a sterilizer.
