    Abstract: Perfluoropolycycloalkanes are provided. These perfluoropolycycloalkanes are ring assemblies having (a) at least two perfluorinated cyclohexane rings, (b) at least two perfluorinated fused ring systems, or (c) combinations of at least one perfluorinated cyclohexane ring with at least one perfluorinated fused ring system, each perfluorinated ring or fused ring system being directly joined to another perfluorinated ring or ring system by a single bond and the ring assemblies having a total of at least 13 carbon atoms.

    Abstract: A process of separating cis and trans isomers of cyclopropane carboxylic acids comprising the step of treating an aqueous solution of a soluble salt of the cis and trans isomers with just sufficient of an acid, for example acetic acid or carbonic acid, to cause precipitation of one isomeric form of the cyclopropane carboxylic acid while substantially all or a major proportion of the other isomeric form remains in solution as the soluble salt. The process may be used, for example, to separate (+)-cis-3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane carboxylic acid (an intermediate for insecticides) from a mixture of the (+)-cis and (+)-trans acids.

    Abstract: Novel cyclopropane carboxylic acid esters of the formula ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine and bromine, X.sub.2 is selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine and bromine, X.sub.3 is selected from the group consisting of chlorine, bromine and iodine and R is selected from the group consisting of ##STR2## and benzyl optionally substituted with at least one member of the group consisting of alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkenyl of 2 to 6 carbon atoms, alkenyloxy of 2 to 6 carbon atoms, alkadienyl of 4 to 8 carbon atoms, methylenedioxy, benzyl and halogens, R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and methyl, R.sub.2 is selected from the group consisting of monocyclic aryl and --CH.sub.2 --C.tbd.CH,R.sub.3 is an aliphatic of 2 to 6 carbon atoms having at least one double bond, R.sub.4 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, --CN and --C.tbd.CH, R.sub.5 is selected from the group consisting of chlorine and methyl, n is 0, 1 or 2, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, R.sub.8 and R.sub.9 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, chlorine and methyl and S/I indicates that the ring may be aromatic, dihydro or tetrahydro having pesticidal properties, and a process for their preparation.
