Abstract: A safety cap for a pressurised gas storage vessel is disclosed comprising a valve that is movable between: (i) a first position in which an entrance port and anti-recoil apertures are in fluid communication such that gas is able to flow out of the safety cap through the anti-recoil apertures; and (ii) a second position in which the gas is unable to exit the safety cap through the anti-recoil apertures and in which the entrance port is in fluid communication with an exit port such that gas is able to flow from the entrance port, through the exit port and out of the safety cap.

Abstract: Systems and methods for optimizing the recondensation of boiloff gas in liquid natural gas storage tanks are presented. In especially preferred aspects of the inventive subject matter, BOG from a storage tank is condensed using refrigeration content of a portion of LNG sendout in a direct or indirect manner, and the BOG condensate and LNG sendout portion are combined to form a subcooled stream that is then combined with the balance of the LNG sendout, to be fed to a high pressure pump. Contemplated recondensation operations advantageously occur without using otherwise needed large volume recondensers. Moreover, the condensing and subcooling operations are decoupled from the LNG sendout rate.

Abstract: A Dewar system is configured to liquefy a flow of fluid, and to store the liquefied fluid. The Dewar system is disposed within a single, portable housing. Disposing the components of the Dewar system within the single housing enables liquefied fluid to be transferred between a heat exchange assembly configured to liquefy fluid and a storage assembly configured to store liquefied fluid in an enhanced manner. In one embodiment, the flow of fluid liquefied and stored by the Dewar system is oxygen (e.g., purified oxygen), nitrogen, and/or some other fluid.

Abstract: A pressure vessel refueling system enables fast refueling of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuel tanks. The system includes a pressure vessel having a gas inlet/outlet port and a liquid inlet/outlet port; a first liquid at least partially filling the pressure vessel; a liquid layer of a second liquid floating on top of the first liquid, wherein the second liquid is immiscible with the first liquid; a gas at least partially filling the pressure vessel above the liquid layer of the second liquid, the gas in fluid communication with the gas inlet/outlet; and a pump in fluid communication with the liquid inlet/outlet of the pressure vessel, whereby the first liquid can be pumped or returned to/from storage into or out of the pressure vessel.

Abstract: The invention relates to a gas supply device including a supporting frame (2) housing a plurality of cylinders (3) connected such as to form a circuit (4, 5) including a first coupling end (6) connected to the cylinders (3) via a first isolation valve (7) and a second separate coupling end (8) that is connected to the cylinders (3) via a second isolation valve (9) and a pressure release valve (10), the supporting frame (2) including an interface panel (20) comprising at least one opening enabling a user to access the circuit (4, 5), characterized in that the device comprises a member (16) for manually controlling the second isolation valve (9) including a pivoting lever, and in that the interface panel (20) includes a slot (21) for accessing the lever (16), said lever (16) being movable between a first position in which the lever (16) is in the plane of the interface panel (20) or set back from the latter within the volume of the frame (2) and a second position in which at least one portion of the lever (16) projects relative to the interface panel (20) through the slot (21).

Abstract: A pressure vessel refuelling system enables fast fill refuelling of CNG fuel tanks by inducing a stratification of gas temperatures inside a tank during refuelling, then re-cycling a portion of the relatively warmer gas out of the tank during refuelling and back to a gas chiller. The system includes a pressure vessel having a lower end, a first gas port and a second gas port, wherein the second gas port is positioned above the lower end of the pressure vessel; and a cooling circuit connecting the first gas port with the second gas port; whereby gas flowing from an interior cavity of the pressure vessel through the second gas port is cooled in the cooling circuit before returning to the pressure vessel through the first gas port; and whereby a temperature of gas inside the pressure vessel varies from a first temperature at a level of the lower end of the pressure vessel to a second temperature, which is higher than the first temperature, at a level of the second gas port.

The hole making system includes a hand unit for making holes on the collar of the cylinder and the hand unit being configured to be used with two hands. The hole making system further includes a control unit configured to control operation of the hand unit. The hole making system further includes a pedal configured to enable a user to control the operation of the hand unit with a foot. The hand unit is held and controlled with two hands and a drilling command is provided by the pedal, allowing the user to control the hand unit in a more reliable manner.
