Abstract:
There is disclosed a memory element including a memory layer that maintains information through the magnetization state of a magnetic material, a magnetization-fixed layer with a magnetization that is a reference of information stored in the memory layer, and an intermediate layer that is formed of a non-magnetic material and is provided between the memory layer and the magnetization-fixed layer. The storing of the information is performed by inverting the magnetization of the memory layer by using a spin torque magnetization inversion occurring according to a current flowing in the lamination direction of a layered structure having the memory layer, the intermediate layer, and the magnetization-fixed layer, the memory layer includes an alloy region containing at least one of Fe and Co, and a magnitude of an effective diamagnetic field which the memory layer receives during magnetization inversion thereof is smaller than the saturated magnetization amount of the memory layer.

The rotor includes a rotor core having an outer circumferential surface extending about the rotation axis and a plurality of permanent magnets attached to the rotor core to form plural poles along the outer circumferential surface of the rotor core. The outer circumferential surface of the rotor core is provided, at each pole, with a contour deviating from a circular arc and bulging out in a radial outward direction, as seen in a cross-section perpendicular to the rotation axis. The permanent magnets include a plurality of magnet sets individually assigned to the plural poles, each set including two or more permanent magnets. The contour of the outer circumferential surface of the rotor core, at each pole, has at least partially a shape represented by a hyperbolic cosine function or a secant function.

In the aromatic ring, a part of carbon atoms may be substituted with S, N, 0, SO2 or CO, or a part of hydrogen atoms may be substituted with an aliphatic group, a halogen atom or a perfluoro aliphatic group. Ar1 and Ar2 may be same or different. R is at least one of linear alkylene group and branched alkylene group having a carbon number of 1-20. Ar3 is an aromatic ring having a carbon number of 6-20 in which at least a part of hydrogen atoms is substituted with at least one of sulfoalkoxy group, carboalkoxy group and phosphoalkoxy group having a carbon number of 1-20 and a part of carbon atoms in these groups may be substituted with S, N, 0, SO2 or CO, or a part of hydrogen atoms may be substituted with an aliphatic group, a halogen atom or a perfluoro aliphatic group. n and m show a polymerization degree and are an integer of not less than 2.)
Abstract:
Flow of mercury from a liquid-heavy-metal inflow port toward an inner forward end of a container body is rectified by a plurality of incoming-passage guide vanes in a liquid-heavy-metal incoming passage. Flow of the mercury from the forward end of the container body toward a liquid-heavy-metal outflow port is rectified by a plurality of return-passage guide vanes in a liquid-heavy-metal return passage. As a result, occurrence of stagnation and/or recirculation flows of the mercury in the container body is suppressed and a steady and highly uniform stream of the mercury is formed throughout in the container body. The container body is covered with a container outer shell to prevent any leakage of the mercury to outside due to a damage of the container body.

A common drive shaft for first and second exhaust control valves is formed of a single piece. A first exhaust valve adjusting exhaust timing and a second exhaust valve adjusting a sectional area of an exhaust passage are provided on the common drive shaft. The second exhaust valve is rotated integrally with the drive shaft. The first exhaust valve is fitted on the drive shaft via an intermediate sleeve and a torsion coil spring. A linkage mechanism is provided so that the intermediate sleeve is stopped at a limit of rotation of the first exhaust valve. Thereafter, only the second exhaust valve is rotated.

A temperature sensing element mounted using a guide hole formed in the housing of a motor. The mounting of the temperature sensing element is carried out without additional processing to a coil mounted on a stator, enabling automated mounting of the temperature sensing element. Further, the mounting location of the temperature sensing element is fixed by the location of the guide hole, so that positioning of the temperature sensing element is made easier, and stable temperature sensing is made possible.

An air passage extending in the axial direction of a motor shaft is formed in a plurality of places in the peripheral wall of a motor housing. An extension tube is fixed to a rear end of the motor housing to provide a space for mounting a rotary joint for connecting a coolant feed pipe to the end of a through hole in the motor shaft, and the extension tube is used as an exhaust (ventilation) passage so that the motor can be cooled with air introduced into the air passage through the tube by using a fan provided on a rear end of the extension tube.
