Abstract: According to some aspects of the present disclosure, an atomic clock and methods of forming and/or using an atomic clock are disclosed. In one embodiment, an atomic clock includes: a light source configured to illuminate a resonance vapor cell; a narrowband optical filter disposed between the light source and the resonance vapor cell and arranged such that light emitted from the light source passes through the narrowband optical filter and illuminates the resonance vapor cell. The resonance vapor cell is configured to emit a signal corresponding to a hyperfine transition frequency in response to illumination from the light source, and a filter cell is disposed between the light source and the resonance vapor cell and configured to generate optical pumping. An optical detector is configured to detect the emitted signal corresponding to the hyperfine transition frequency.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems of reversible metal electrodeposition (RME) devices with applications in dynamic smart windows. Embodiments use a RME device that includes two transparent substrates that sandwich a working electrode, counter electrode, and an electrolyte solution. Embodiments apply a pulsed voltage to the RME device that causes electrochemical deposition of metal ions from the electrolyte solution to create a metallic film on the working electrode. The metallic film results in reduced light transmittance of the RME device.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an intracranial guide for use in a medical procedure, such as to evacuate a subdural hematoma or to relieve an intracerebral hemorrhage. The intracranial guide generally includes a guide cannula to be received within a portion of a cranial port. The guide cannula includes at least one channel that may be used to guide a catheter to a targeted portion of the patient's anatomy or to apply a suction force within the patient's cranium.

Abstract: Methods of preventing or treating autoimmune disease are disclosed. In some cases, subjects with having or at risk of developing autoimmune disease are identified as possessing one or more autoimmunity-susceptibility HLA alleles at one or more HLA loci. In many cases, the HLA loci are selected from Class I and Class II loci, for example Class I A, B, and C, and Class II DQ, DR, and DP. In many cases, subjects suffering from or at risk of developing an autoimmune disease may be administered a plurality engineered autologous HSCs modified to carry and express a variant susceptibility allele having at least one mutation in the antigen binding cleft that alters antigen binding and/or specificity of that variant HLA molecule. In many embodiments, the engineered HSCs are CD34+ immune cells that express one or more modified HLA proteins.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a multimodal data classifier, and a method of training the classifier therein, that identifies social network messages about an event and filters the messages to provide a reduced amount of content to assist emergency authorities. For each message identified, the classification model identifies features of the message including an account identity and content of the message. Further, it generates a feature embedding for the message based at least on the account identity and the content of the message, and it submits the feature embeddings as input to a machine learning model to obtain one or more classifications for the message. As a result, the data classifier filters the messages based on the one or more classifications, which provides a prioritized view of the messages based on training criteria.
