The inflation mechanism is located under the foot of the wearer to be activated by the normal action of the wearer to inflate the one or more bladders. The article of footwear may also include an assembly for connecting several tubes to one under foot inflation mechanism. The article of footwear may also include inflatable laces that are inflated by an underfoot inflation mechanism.

摘要： The present invention is a method for manufacturing inflatable bladders for use in articles of manufacture. The method includes the steps of providing a first polymer film, applying a curable release coating to the polymer film in a pattern that corresponds to the configuration of the inflatable bladder, curing the release coating to the first polymer film, providing a second polymer film with the first polymer film to form a layered element such that the release coating is disposed between the polymer films, positioning the layered element between two plies of material, applying heat and pressure to adhere the polymer films together except in the area where the release coating has been applied to form an inflatable compartment surrounded by a sealed perimeter, and removing the plies of material from the adhered first and second polymer films.

摘要： A padded garment having at least one pocket with at least one pad located within the at least one pocket. The at least one pad has a plurality of interconnected, spaced apart tubes. A first end of each of the spaced apart tubes are interconnected along a first pathway and a second end of each of the spaced apart tubes are interconnected along a second pathway. The first and second pathways are recessed from a top plane and a bottom plane of the pad in areas between adjacent tubes such that the pad is flexible along the recessed areas of the first and second pathways and substantially less flexible along a length of the spaced apart tubes. The pad is shaped to correspond to an area of a wearer's body it is intended to cover.

摘要： A padded garment having at least one pocket with at least one pad located within the at least one pocket. The at least one pad has a plurality of interconnected, spaced apart tubes. The interconnected tubes form a cavity which is filled with air that can flow between the plurality of spaced apart tubes. A first end of each of the spaced apart tubes are interconnected along a first pathway and a second end of each of the spaced apart tubes are interconnected along a second pathway. The first and second pathways are recessed from a top plane and a bottom plane of the pad in areas between adjacent tubes such that the pad is flexible along the recessed areas of the first and second pathways and substantially less flexible along a length of the spaced apart tubes. The pad is shaped to correspond to an area of a wearer's body it is intended to cover.

摘要： A cushioning member for an article of footwear. The cushioning member is a flexible bladder having a fluidly interconnected heel chamber and forefoot chamber. The bladder is disposed above the sole and beneath the wearer's foot to provided added cushioning to the wearer. The bladder contains air at slightly above ambient pressure and can be formed by thermoforming or by welding two sheets of resilient, flexible material together. A connecting passage fluidly connects the heel chamber and the forefoot chamber. The connecting passage is narrow to control the flow of air between the two chambers.
