摘要： An automatic transmission having seven gear speeds for forward driving is provided, in which a planetary gear P1 of a first planetary gear set 12 and an outer planetary gear P2out of a second planetary gear set 14 are integrally coupled, a first rotational element M1 is formed by a sun gear S1, a second rotational element M2 is formed by carriers CA1, CA2 coupled with each other, a third rotational element M3 is formed by a ring gear R2, a fourth rotational element is formed by a ring gear R1, and a fifth rotational element M5 is formed by a sun gear S2. The rotational elements M5, M3, M2 are connectable to an input shaft 16 via clutches C1, C2, C3, respectively, and the rotational elements M3, M2, M1 are connectable to a case 20 via brakes B1, B2, B3, respectively. The rotational element M4 is integrally coupled with an output gear 18.

摘要： A hydraulic control circuit for an automatic transmission of a vehicle, the transmission including hydraulically operated coupling devices at least one of which is selectively operated to establish a corresponding one of speed steps, the hydraulic control circuit including electromagnetic valve devices which output respective hydraulic pressures to operate the hydraulically operated coupling devices, respectively, an all-fail detecting and switching valve device which is switched, based on an all-fail state of the electromagnetic valve devices in which none of the electromagnetic valve devices output the respective hydraulic pressures, to an operation state corresponding to a fail position to output, as a first hydraulic pressure, a source hydraulic pressure to a first hydraulically operated coupling device out of the plurality of hydraulically operated coupling devices, and an operation-state memory valve which is switched, based on a state of the vehicle before the all-fail state occurs, from a non-running position indicating that the vehicle is not running, to a running position indicating that the vehicle is running, which is kept at one of the non-running position and the running position, and which supplies an operating hydraulic pressure to one of a second and a third hydraulically operated coupling device out of the plurality of hydraulically operated coupling devices that corresponds to the one of the non-running position and the running position at which the operation-state memory valve is kept.

摘要： An optical image writing unit includes a photoconductive body, a writing device for optically writing images periodically on the photoconductive body at a writing interval t.sub.0, and a driving mechanism, operatively coupled to the writing means, for moving the photoconductive body so that the images are periodically written by the writing device at a predetermined area on the photoconductive body. The driving mechanism includes a driving motor, and a driving pulley rotated by the driving motor so that the photoconductive body is moved by rotation of the driving pulley, wherein the driving mechanism is formed so that a time in which the driving pulley makes one revolution is approximately one n-th of the writing interval t.sub.0, n being an integer.

摘要： Variable magnification optics for an image forming apparatus has a plurality of optical members, especially a first mirror and a lens located at the rear of the mirror, which are movable in association with each other and over a minimum of distance. This reduces the exclusive space which the optics occupies in the apparatus and, therefore, the overall dimensions of the apparatus. The mirror and lens which are interlocked with each other do not need independent drive lines, whereby the overall dimensions of the apparatus are further reduced.

摘要： An illuminating device for use with an imagewise exposing arrangement of an electrophotographic copier, electrostatic printer or similar image recording equipment. A delimited area of a glass platen is illuminated by a light source and a main reflector which is implemented by a mirror. The main reflector is located outside of one end of the delimited area. Three auxiliary reflectors are individually associated with, among four sides which are individually associated with the outer edges of the delimited area, a side facing the one end where the main reflector is provided and two facing sides which adjoin the above-mentioned side. Light reflected by the main reflector is redirected by the auxiliary reflectors toward the delimited area.

摘要： A differential gear unit divides an input driving force into first and second outputs, and permits a difference between the first and second outputs. The differential gear unit includes a differential case serving as a casing that defines an internal space and an opening communicated with the internal space and that is rotatable in a given direction and an opposite direction. The differential case includes a flange portion as an input portion to which the driving force is input. The differential case is configured such that the fatigue life of the differential case when the driving force is repeatedly input in the flange portion in the direction R1 is longer than the fatigue life of the differential case when the driving force is repeatedly input in the flange portion in the opposite direction; R1 is the rotational direction in which the vehicle runs forward.

摘要： A clutch device for an automatic transmission includes a clutch drum, first and second frictional coupling elements, both supported by the clutch drum, a first piston axially movably disposed radially outwardly of the clutch drum and operating to couple the first frictional coupling elements, and a second piston axially movably disposed radially inwardly of the clutch drum and operating to couple the second frictional coupling elements. The clutch drum includes an inner drum portion welded on a rotary shaft, and an outer drum portion welded on the inner drum portion and supporting the first and second frictional coupling elements. The first piston is axially slidable relative to the inner drum portion. The second piston is axially slidable relative to the rotary shaft. And, a welded portion of the rotary shaft and the inner drum portion, and a welded portion of the inner drum portion and the outer drum portion, are radially spaced in a predetermined distance and concentric with each other.
